[Audio] There are a number of notices that a Class 1 oversize vehicle can adhere to. As Piloting is not our core business, we expect that you as a pilot follow all law requirements to allow you to operate safely and with in the law.

[Audio] The Heavy Vehicle National Law or HVNL, is the umbrella for regulations. The Mass and Dimension Regulations under the HVNL is what informs you as a pilot, the operating rules. As a Pilot your vehicle and the requirements when operating your vehicle should comply with these Regulations..

A level 1 pilot can only operate certain size loads in a complying Pilot vehicle and full license. A level 2 pilot requires a recognized certificate in piloting that is administered by a Registered Training Organsiation..

[Audio] In our space of machinery there are different gazettes. For example, the Class 1 Agricultural vehicle gazette is for when your escorting AG vehicles on the road similar to the picture..

[Audio] The Class 1 Load Carrying Gazettes are used when AG equipment is being carried on a truck and trailer combination. Generally, when operating under these notices you require to operate only on certain roads and approved routes..

[Audio] In some incidents due to accidents, special events and emergency's, a load may be directed off these approved routes. As a pilot we would advise that you clearly make some enquiries prior to traversing off an approved route. There are many unknown when travelling off an approved route like, low powerlines and trees, structures and maneuverability issues. Please ensure you always attempt to stay on route where possible and we would advise to park the vehicles up until the route is clear..
