Scene 8 (23m 54s)

#2 LEAD FROM THE BENCH. “You’ll feel benched sometimes too. You’ll be passed over for a spot on a team, taken off the field at a key time- you might even find yourself on the sideline injured- watching your teammates ‘ get ahead,” she said:.

Scene 9 (25m 55s)

Scene 14 (37m 47s)

Penn Fusion Soccer Academy, aims to provide a professional environment for elite players to develop their skills and compete in the highest levels of soccer currently available, both regionally and nationally. The primary goal of the Academy is the development of the total player, including the technical, tactical, physical, lifestyle and psychological areas of our players’ development. Throughout the year we start to layer in the off-field behaviors that reflect the elite athlete..

Scene 15 (39m 23s)

Treat everyone with RESPECT, personal differences cannot cloud our vision. “Small minds discuss people. Average minds discuss events. Great minds discuss ideas.” (Eleanor Roosevelt).

Scene 16 (39m 57s)

THE TEAM BECOMES STRONGER BY….

Scene 17 (40m 16s)

FOLLOWING THE PENN FUSION WAY.

Scene 18 (40m 23s)

THE PENN FUSION WAY. KNOW and REALIZE the opportunity you have in front of YOU. GO after it EVERYDAY and know that you have others around you supporting you through your endeavors. An understanding that every obstacle presents an opportunity- if you’re looking for it. Be solution orientated- If you’re too busy looking at the problem, the opportunity will pass you by. Always take defense seriously, defend as a group through communication, hard work, and organization. Take PRIDE in the fact that you DO NOT get beat. It is part of your foundation, always stay committed and believe in the fact that it is vital to our success. Attitude is your choice, not your circumstance Great and constant diligence.

Scene 19 (40m 33s)

Attitude is the way you respond to the situation, not the situation itself. You have control over the way you choose, and the way you respond.

Scene 20 (41m 11s)

LISTEN FIRST –Then think before talking- Every time you’re about to engage someone, think quickly about what it is you are about to say. How will the words be received? What else could you be saying that might create a more positive impression? It requires self-discipline, but it works..

Scene 21 (42m 40s)

TEAM PRINCIPLES AND EXPECTATIONS. MENTALITY. RESPECT.

Scene 22 (42m 50s)

1. PURPOSE - Every training session has its own specific purpose. Players need to understand what and why they are doing certain exercises, practices and games. 2. CHALLENGE - The players get challenged in every single session. This can be done by creating a certain organization i.e., Space, restrictions etc., or by solving tactical aspects of the game or of a specific opponent. 3. QUALITY - In every session, we aim for game realistic quality. Exercises, practices and games are played at match pace. 4. INTENSITY - To achieve the highest quality, the intensity must be match realistic. If the tempo is too high, the players will rush things and make mistakes. If the tempo is too slow, the players will not produce the quality required in matches. 5. ENJOYMENT - When the previous 4 boxes are ticked, players will most likely enjoy all the training sessions..

Scene 23 (43m 27s)

SPEED ► Training at a high intensity with a high speed of play. ► Ability of attacking players to run past opponents. ► One touch interplay, give-and-go, movement, and runs in behind. POWER ► Strength of the players to overcome challenges. ► Powerful runs to go past or in behind opponents. ► Dynamic, powerful and quick reactions in the transition phases. PENETRATION ► Forward passes or carrying the ball into the space in front of you. ► Play through the opposition's midfield and defensive lines. ► Forward runs in behind the opposition's defensive line. UNPREDICTABILITY ► Quick 1 /2 touch combinations with good movement and runs in behind. ► Switch play to change angle of attack for chance to cross or create 1 v 1 /2v2 situations. ► Ability to beat opponents in 1 v 1 situations through speed, skill, and disguise..

Scene 24 (44m 13s)

100% professionalism is demanded. There is absolutely no difference in attitude towards training as there is to matches. "What you do in training will manifest itself in the game.” I'm a big believer in good practice, smart practice. Good practice makes perfect. Good practices make permanent. Quality improves quality, iron sharpens iron, which drives you to the next level. There is no difference in the treatment of young or experienced players. The top third and bottom third are all treated well and respected..

Scene 25 (45m 16s)

20 ZONES POSIT IONAL PLAY.

Scene 31 (47m 45s)

Positional soccer provides a set of guidelines and structure for the attacking phase of the game. The positional soccer field is divided into vertical and horizontal zones that indicate positional responsibilities for the players..

Scene 32 (48m 27s)

The central theme behind positional soccer is to create superiority of numbers in a specific area of the field, using mainly shorter range passing..

Scene 33 (48m 45s)

The Positional Play approach for a team is an attempt to control the space and control the ball, utilizing the concepts of ’20 zones’ on a soccer field..

Scene 34 (49m 14s)

20 ZONES POSITIONAL PLAY.

Scene 35 (49m 57s)

Positional Play: 20 Zones: highlights the ‘vulnerable channels’ (also referred to as the ‘red zones’, ’interior channels/corridors’ or ‘half spaces’) as key areas to exploit when in possession. Ultimately, the space between the opposition Full Backs and Center Backs '20 Zones’ and ‘Interior Channels’ The approach of Positional Play, when in possession, is all about making the opposition defense move in order to disrupt their defensive structure..

Scene 36 (50m 20s)

The primary outcome is effective possession to penetrate the opposition, in order to arrive in the penalty box with controlled possession and numbers to attack the final pass or cross, with quality end product..
