PAKISTAN FOUNDRY ASSOCIATION PFA for Development of Foundry Industry 4 &FOUNDRY.

OUR HISTORY. Formation of Pakistan Foundry Association began in the early half of year 2003, when a few foundries started working on the use of computer simulation technology for foundry in Pakistan. It was realized that technology growth issues can not produce enormous results unless they are taken up on common platform. Responding to this idea some of the Leading foundries teamed up for creating the structure of this great idea. Small and Medium Enterprise Development Authority (SMEDA) of Pakistan guided PFA through it’s stage of inception and the organization was registered on 15th March, 2004.

OUR EXECUTIVE MEMBERS.

Pakistan foundry association was formed for the technological development of foundry cluster in year 2003 by the leading foundries of Pakistan.

PFA OBJECTIVES. To Correlate the foundry industry with the latest international manufacturing practices To enhance Foundry Economic Growth & Competitiveness To Develop skills in various foundry related trades through training To Represent the foundry industry at Domestic and International forums To have close liaison with related training institutes, t esting labs and suppliers.

ACTIVITIES. International Foundry Congress & Exhibition (IFCE) Taking the foundry industry to International exhibitions and forums Hand-Holding w.r.t adoption of new Technologies Consultancy services w.r.t foundry related challenges “ELEMENT” MAGAZINE Organizing Technical Seminars.

The journey started with taking the foundry industry to International exhibition and forums.

With international exposure the industry started correlating the international foundry practices with the prevalent foundry practices in Pakistan and could see their future in modern foundry.

O ne of our worthy members has built technical training school in private sector for skill development, supporting cluster development in foundry sector..

PFA Publication. . Pakistan Foundry Association publishes a quarterly magazine “Element” from PFA Secretariat “Element” is distributed to all leading teaching institutes of Pakistan (dealing in metallurgy), all related government officials, foundry men all over Pakistan, steel mills (around 250 Approx.), steel alloys and foundry suppliers, sugar mills, cement factories Sent online to more than 500 foundries in India and around 100 participants from Asian countries and foundry men in Europe, Iran & GIFA.
