[Audio] LAYAN NATURAL CARE WELLNESS CENTRE SOP-FOR CLIENT-SPORTS MASSAGE Introduction : SPORTS MASSAGE : It is a specialized type of massage therapy that aims to warm up the bodies of athletes and people who regularly practice sports and physical activities and exercises and improve blood flow to their muscles, in order to enhance performance and restore muscle flexibility and strength. Purpose of sports massage : Reduce tightness and ache in muscles , increase range of mobility in joints , improve elasticity of soft tissue And avoid injuries Sports massage helps to: Improve physical performance. Reduces the risk of strain or cramping. Enhances muscle flexibility. Reduces exercise-related pain. Benefits of sports massage : Accelerates muscle recovery and reduces pain after strenuous exercise. Relieves pain resulting from intense exercise. Increases muscle and joint flexibility. More flexibility in movement, resulting in more e�icient athletic performance. Improves muscle health, increases balance, and reduces excessive tension. Reduces stress and promotes relaxation. Improves blood flow and oxygen supply to muscles. Pre-Treatment Guidelines Clients should arrive 10 to 15 minutes before the session. Please refrain from eating for at least two hours before your massage session to avoid any side e�ects, such as nausea or stomach pain, resulting from massages performed immediately after eating, or discomfort during the treatment. Taking a hot shower before your session will increase your relaxation. Avoid drinking co�ee or stimulants before your session, as they contain ca�eine, which can prevent you from feeling relaxed during the session..

[Audio] Treatment Procedure Step 1: Client Preparation The therapist ensures a comfortable environment with soothing ambiance and optimal room temperature. The client is guided to the treatment room and given a disposable undergarment or appropriate draping. A brief consultation is conducted to confirm the client's needs and whether there is any injury or pain.. Step 2: Positioning: The client will be instructed to lie comfortably on the bed and the session will begin. Aftercare and Recommendations Avoid touching or rubbing the eyes for a few hours. Refrain from direct exposure to sunlight or screens immediately after the session. Use prescribed Ayurvedic eye drops (if recommended). Hydrate well and follow a balanced diet for overall eye health. Safety & Hygiene Protocols Therapists are trained to ensure that the client's comfort and safety are prioritized throughout the therapy. In case of any discomfort, the client should immediately notify the therapist. Fresh towels, disposable sheets, and sanitized equipment are used for each client. The therapist follows strict hygiene protocols, including hand sanitization before and after the session. Medicines are stored as per DOH regulations to maintain quality and e�ectiveness.
