[Virtual Presenter] Welcome everyone! Today I am going to present the various options available to Year 9 students for their social emotional and mental health. I will discuss the tailored educational options available to students as well as how our approach supports them to succeed in Year 11. Let's get started!.
[Audio] At Year 9 our students get the opportunity to investigate their interests and capabilities and to get ready for the next phase of their educational experience. We motivate our students to take on difficulties and create certainty when it comes to making these decisions making it possible for them to reach their greatest potential. This stage provides our students with lots of thrilling prospects and choices..
[Audio] Our school is dedicated to ensuring the success of all students by offering support for their social emotional and mental health needs. We focus on creating a nurturing atmosphere for students to develop their well-being holistically. We firmly believe that academic learning and emotional well-being should be combined so that our students can have success both inside and outside of school..
[Audio] It is Year 9 an important transition year in which you have the opportunity to decide on your subjects for the following few years. In this presentation I would like to explain the differences between GCSEs BTECs and the combination of the two. G-C-S-E-s are traditional academic qualifications such as Citizenship Business Studies and Media Studies whereas B-T-E-C-s and AIM Courses are practical vocational courses with options such as Sport Catering and Construction. Additionally you have the option of having a tailored approach to suit your individual strengths and interests which consists of a combination of G-C-S-E-s and BTECs..
[Audio] At Key Stage 4 a variety of courses are available to cater to individual needs. Maths and English are compulsory subjects while Science is also available. Furthermore the option of a vocational route is available with the potential to study Catering Creative Design or Construction. Physical Education P-S-H-E and the Duke of Edinburgh Award are among the other subjects on offer. Our experienced and knowledgeable staff will do their utmost to ensure success for all students regardless of the chosen path..
[Audio] We strive to create an environment in which every student feels supported to grow and strive to achieve their ambitious goals. It is our hope that by the end of Year 11 all students will have gained the necessary skills and qualifications to transition to college or apprenticeships and to reach for success. We have shared our vision for Year 11 students at this school and it has been a pleasure doing so. Thank you for listening..
