Brief history of Sitting Volleyball. Following World War II, forms of adapted volleyball started being played in rehabilitation centres – especially in military settings 1956, Dutch sports committee demonstrated sitting volleyball 1967 First international sitting volleyball tournament in Flensburg, Germany 1980 Sitting Volleyball appeared in the Paralympics 2004 Women Sitting Volleyball in Summer Paralympic Programme.
