As you can see in this slide, there are many opportunities for contact lens fitting, however, while only 5% of all eye tests result in a contact lens fit, only 56% of trialists continue to purchase contact lenses and 18% of wearers drop out within 6 months of purchase. Even more, after the age of 45, only 40% of original loyal contact lens wearers are still wearing them. This slide presents the journey from eye test to contact lens fit, from contact lens fit to purchase, and from purchase to loyal wearer and encourages a lifetime of wear..

[Audio] There is no denying that habits regarding fitting of lenses have evolved over the past two decades. This slide draws attention to the boost in silicone hydrogel lenses prescriptions in most countries, with the exception of Taiwan. Countries such as Denmark, Japan, Norway, Taiwan and the United Kingdom showed the highest number of daily disposables prescriptions. Conversely, Bulgaria and The Netherlands displayed lower figures. This information is in agreement with Professor Phil Morgan and Emeritus Professor Nathan Efron's research paper..

[Audio] Today I'm talking about a remarkable change in the contact lens market - the growth of one-day lenses. This is significantly more than their FRP lenses counterparts, which only account for 11.2%.
