[Audio] I am going to present the WLNG Project Site Specific Orientation. This presentation will cover project overview, site access for personnel and visitors, photo and camera access, water taxi vehicle requirements, personal protective equipment requirements, as well as road use and radio protocol. Adhering to the guidelines given during this orientation is important for working safely and efficiently on the project. Questions are welcomed at any time..
[Audio] Regarding the WLNG project, the slide focuses on the project overview. The scope includes relocating 300 meters of 10 inch NPS piping, installing a Stopple Tee, and setting up a hot tap with bypass. Furthermore, there is a south retaining wall being constructed, an existing pipeline being abandoned, a hydro-test and drying/pigging, and finally, completion of the clean up and perimeter fencing for the riser sites..
[Audio] No greetings necessary, this morning we are discussing site access for personnel. In order to obtain access to site, personnel must adhere to the necessary requirements and instructions. These may include obtaining an A&D Clearance letter within 90 days from request, urine or oral fluid lab-based with breath alcohol, a Certificate of Completion for the Project Site Orientation, a signed copy of Project Code of Conduct, a passport-style photo, a photocopy or photo of Government-issued photo ID, completion of all WorkHub courses and tickets and uploading of all files, and an SMJV onsite orientation. After all the necessary requirements have been met, SMJV Security ID cards with the WLNG site mark will be issued..
[Audio] All requests for access to the specified site must be completed and submitted no later than 72 hours before the desired date of travel. Confirmation must be obtained before any workers are allowed to travel to the site. Completion of the Visitor Agreement Form and submission to the designated email address is essential in order to ensure the safety of all personnel..
[Audio] Access to photos and cameras in the SMJV prime location requires approval through the Camera Pass Application. If you need to take photos or videos for work related purposes, you must request it through your SMJV supervisor. Usage of photos and videos is limited to work purposes only and may not be posted on social media..
[Audio] You must submit your safety details to us 24 hours before you plan to travel to our 10th site, WLNG-NPS, which can only be accessed by water taxi, helicopter, or barge. To ensure that you are 100% compliant on the Workhub platform, all relevant documents must be completed and confirmed, and the water taxi brochure must be reviewed and all rules and regulations followed..
[Audio] Good morning everyone. Let's talk about vehicle requirements. The basic requirements that all light vehicles require to be allowed onto a site include a valid registration and insurance with a minimum of $5 million liability, as well as the addition of a company logo and unit number on both sides. Furthermore, a reverse alarm with off switch, wheel chocks if the vehicle is one ton or heavier, a 20 pound fire extinguisher, and a fire fighting tool such as a pulaski, shovel, or water cannon during fire season. In addition, it is also mandatory to provide a first aid kit, a luminated buggy whip with a minimum of 9 feet from ground to top, a beacon, a spill kit, a current ERP, and a two-way radio with MDR channels. Finally, all light vehicles are required to complete a “Project Vehicle Application Pass” and submit it 48 hours prior to mobilization day. Vehicles will be inspected and documented upon arrival to the site..
[Audio] Today I'm going to discuss the PPE requirements on this site. All personnel must wear CSA side impact hard hats, CSA safety glasses with side shields, Class 2 Level 2 high visibility vests in yellow, lime, or orange, CSA work boots with either composite or steel toes that are a minimum of 6 inches in height, and gloves with an ANSI cut level 5 and impact resistance. Additionally, FR clothing must be worn when within 30 meters of a live facility or exposed line. Areas that require FR clothing will be clearly signed..
[Audio] Road use and protocol for WLNG site must be strictly followed. All roads on site are radio-controlled with a designated channel, and all vehicles, UTV's, and equipment traveling on roads must be equipped with radios tuned into the WLNG specific channels. Strategically placed signs indicate the road name and radio channel, as well as the location, direction of travel, and, if applicable, when a call must be made. To ensure safety, clear and concise communication is essential, and all signs should be read carefully before entering the area..
[Audio] Effective communication through radio is an important part of orienting oneself in a particular site. According to the WLNG-NPS 10 guidelines, prior to accessing the shared access roads, you must make sure your radio is tuned to the right channel and do a radio check on the WLNG-2 channel. Bear in mind the channels may be different for the duration of the project. When entering the access road, you must stop and make an entry call, waiting for 15 seconds to see if there is any response from other traffic. As you travel on the site access road, it is essential to make an announcement of your location when passing must call checkpoint locations. Upon reaching your destination and exiting the access road, call the exiting Mill Creek Main. Following these rules can make sure good communication is in place when entering and travelling through the site, thus ensuring safety and awareness..
[Audio] At this slide, I'm going to explain the importance of following the Site Specific Orientation guidelines as defined in the WLNG NPS 10 document. Please pay attention to the map which the slide contains, as it defines each contractor's prime sites and roads. Entry into any of these prime designated work areas is strictly forbidden without prior approval from the site superintendent. Additionally, if any works need to be conducted on any roads, you must communicate with the supervision beforehand and declare the specific location, as traffic control may need to be put in place. Following these protocols is crucial for the safety and success of the project..
[Audio] Ensure you are using the designated channels when using radios on the RoW and Prime Worksite. Keep communication brief and relevant - no inappropriate language! Complete a radio check before leaving the laydown and always obey Must Call signs..
[Audio] In the event of a medical emergency, call “Medic, Medic, Medic, SMJV Medic” on the medic radio channel and maintain radio silence until further instruction. In addition, a second person should call to the main road channel WLNG-2 and notify all road users “Emergency, cease traffic”. All road traffic must come to a complete halt until an all clear is given by supervision. For those in an emergency, the best option is to get to the nearest pull out or wide spot. It is essential to stay alert and follow safety protocols to guarantee everyone's safety..
