Objectives of the project Improved access of sanitation units by children with disability in 16 Government schools in district Varanasi. To promote sustainable maintenance of sanitation units through School Maintenance Committees/Hygiene clubs in all 16 govt. schools. To create awareness on WASH practice in 16 govt. schools and community around.

Topic Details Target Groups/ Beneficiaries Children and staff of 16 Government schools and community around (21,679 members) Proposed Project Location Harhua & Chiraigaon blocks, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh Duration of the Project One Year (from 6 th Aug 2019 to 5 th Aug 2020 but extended on No Cost Basis till 31 Dec 2020 due to covid 19) Donor Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC) Budget Amount (INR) 18,14,706.

ACHIEVEMENTS. 16 disabled friendly toilets constructed 16 School Hygiene Clubs formed 16 Flip Handbooks on WASH printed 3200 Pamphlets printed (to be given to students once schools reopens).
