Background & Challenge (Safety Challenges in Last-Mile Operations).
Problem Before Monitoring Process (Challenges we faced).
Recruited a new OHS SPOC for each circle. Provided training in one week as per customer required..
Our Solution & Practical Safety Approach (Simple, Effective & Real-Time Digital Safety Monitoring).
Every morning, all OHS SPOCs share OHS awareness messages, safety alerts, and posters with all field teams and the project management team. Safety tips, near-miss learnings, and accident prevention messages are circulated regularly. Before starting work, teams must share live or real-time PPE photos using a GPS camera. PPE and PTW are verified through video calls. Based on the shared photos and the authorized person’s confirmation, approval is given or rejected in case of non-compliance. Random video calls are conducted by the OHS SPOC to ensure that field teams are following all safety and compliance requirements..
Process for Monitoring and verification. Shared Plan (Site plan is shared in the group at night or early in the morning) Share Selfie (The team sends a selfie near the site while wearing PPE.) Site Audit SPOC conducts verification of authorized personnel and checks PPE compliance as well as document compliance by video call. Audit Snap After accessing the site, the team shares the PPE, documents, site conditions, and hazard snap with GPS camera and site details.
Approved Checked and verified, then approved by L1 PTW Field team drops the PTW. Audit During activity, surprise video call audits are also conducted. Physical audit During the activity, a surprise Physical audit is conducted..
Confirmation of safe return PTW closed after work completion Safety compliance records updated.
Impact After Implementation. Better PPE compliance Reduction in unsafe acts Faster decision-making Improved safety culture No major incidents reported.
