[Audio] About Oil Capital Our club motto. Safety is everybody's business. A little history first. Oil capital rod & gun club began during world war two, sometime during the mid nineteen forties when a group of employees from douglas aircraft got together and formed a club. They were shotgun enthusiests and they purchased 30 acres of land in catoosa at a location called spunky creek. The club was known as the douglas rod & gun club until it was incorporated in 1960 and the name was changed to the present " oil capital rod & gun club". The club grew and they added a rifle and pistol range. Over time the club began to be encroached upon by urban sprawl, and it began looking for a new home. In nine-teen- eighty-four the search ended with the purchase of 160 acres 4 ½ miles north of coweta where the club now calls it's home..

The club is not responsible for your injuries by your actions. Or by your guests or other members actions. While using the range facilities you are engaging in an activity that can result in severe injury or death. The possibility exists of being struck by bounce back or splatter from your own actions or from another shooters actions. Responsibility lies with the member for himself and his guest's actions, you may be liable in the event of an accident that results in injury. [Audio] How to Sell or Transfer Your Membership If you wish to sell your membership, you may seek the help of Membership Clearinghouse or you may sell yourself. There is a maximum parr value set for club sold transfers, and memberships that exceed that value are not accepted. If a member wishes to sell outside the club, they are welcome to do so. The sale price is determined by the seller. Things that must be considered are: The buyer must have a club sponsor other than the seller. The buyer must also attend this orientation and complete the range rule quiz. The selling member must also be a steward for the club when selecting a buyer as Membership Clearinghouse has little to do with the transaction. To sell through the club, the member can download an " Authorization to Sell" form from the clubs website or request a form from Membership Clearinghouse. [Audio] Membership status in the event of death if you pass away, upon club notification, your membership will go into suspension and will remain until reactivated by transfer. What the club will do. The club will send a condolence letter to the family and also include a reminder that your membership has value and can be sold or transferred. The loss of a loved one is already difficult enough without having to worry about the gun club too. It is this reason that the following applies. As long as the membership remains in your name, no dues are owed during the year of death and through the end of the 2nd year of the regular dues collection period. During the 2nd year, the membership must be transferred before the end of the regular dues collection period. Any dues mistakenly remitted during this time will be returned.
