Scene 1 (0s)

[Virtual Presenter] News-360 offers an efficient and structured way for people to keep up with the latest news around the world. Name1, Supervisor Name Name2, Designation Name3, and SRMIST Name4, all from the College of Science and Humanities, Chennai, and members of the BSc – CS Programme, were part of the project. This is the initial review of the project..

Scene 2 (29s)

[Audio] Our department of computer science and applications has designed a powerful web page built using a JAVA Spring boot framework for updating the website with current news. The framework provides the needed structure for developing Java applications and most of the data processing is done on the server side. Moreover, the website utilizes the REST API service to retrieve data. This system is created to ensure users are kept informed of world events in an efficient and organized way with the most recent news..

Scene 3 (1m 3s)

[Audio] Get access to the latest news from popular news networks with this convenient website, providing top headlines so you can stay in the know. Avoid spam and junk news, and get informed and stay up to date with the news that matters..

Scene 4 (1m 19s)

[Audio] We conducted a literature survey to gain key information from the reference papers. Paper 1 helped us understand certain elements of our web page, while paper 2 offered alternative perspectives on the same topics. We gathered all necessary information from both papers to understand the technicalities of the web page and determine the most useful and accurate news content to be included. The relevant publication details for both papers are shown on this slide..

Scene 5 (1m 50s)

[Audio] For the fifth slide of this presentation, we conducted a literature survey with the title of 'Description'. We gathered important points from two reference papers, including the publisher, volume number, issue number, and year of publication. This will help us stay up to date with the progress of our project..

Scene 6 (2m 12s)

[Audio] Today we are going to take a look at the project's block diagram. As you can see, the project consists of four main blocks: the content management system, the web application server, the database server, and the web client. Each of these blocks contains several components which together will form the complete web page. The content management system will be used to manage the website content, the web application server will provide the web services, and the database server will store and manage the information. Finally, the web client will allow the users to access the website content. For this project, we are using the Java Spring Boot framework. This framework allows us to quickly build and deploy the web application. It will make it easier for us to develop the website and ensure that it meets all the requirements. Thank you very much for your attention. The slide shows the block diagram for the project. As you can see, the project consists of four major components which come together to form the complete web page. The content management system, the web application server, the database server, and the web client. Each of these components is essential for the functioning of the website and provide the necessary services to make the website user friendly and interactive. The Java Spring Boot framework is the technology we are using for this project and it provides the necessary tools to make the process of developing and deploying the web application quick and efficient." Today we will take a look at the project's block diagram. As you can see, our project consists of four main blocks that come together to form the entire web page. These blocks include the content management system, which manages the website content, the web application server to provide the web services, the database server to store and manage the website information, and the web client to allow users to access the content. We are using the Java Spring Boot framework to build and deploy the web application so that it meets all the requirements. This framework helps us to create the web page quickly and efficiently..

Scene 7 (4m 36s)

[Audio] The existing system does come with several drawbacks. There is no login service available to save users' data for personalized recommended news. Furthermore, limitation on news contents is based on the api responses, which can render the system ineffective at certain times. Additionally, the application may go down due to the failure of api service. Lastly, there is a limited category of articles, meaning you can only search an article by a specific keyword..

Scene 8 (5m 11s)

[Audio] In terms of the proposed system, we offer an easy and user-friendly interface for our visitors, presented with no login services needed. This allows people to access the site directly for quickly viewing articles. We pride ourselves on our simple and understandable interface so that visitors can easily navigate the page. Additionally, there are no extra costs for our visitors, in contrast to other popular news websites that require monthly fees. Furthermore, we offer the option to navigate to the article's original source, allowing visitors to easily read additional information. Lastly, with our system, people have access to the latest news and information in real-time. Thank you..

Scene 9 (6m 1s)

[Audio] Web page development utilizes a JAVA Spring boot framework, intended to give users quick access to current events in an organized and thorough fashion. Upon accessing the web page via URL, the browser sends a GET/ request to the embedded tomcat server. Request handling is taken care of by a controller, and data is extracted from the API via the model before being passed to the view page. Model is brought to the view page with the Model and View Object, and data is eventually shown by JSP view technology..

Scene 10 (6m 38s)

10. Methodology.  First the Top-headlines articles will be shown on the web page.

Scene 11 (7m 7s)

11. Methodology. 01/24/2023 Dept of Computer Science and Applications.

Scene 12 (7m 16s)

[Audio] We will be using a variety of algorithms, techniques, and tools to aid in the development of our web page. These include Java 1.8, Spring Boot, an embedded Tomcat server, NewsAPI.org, and JSP (Java Servlet Pages). With this powerful combination of technologies, our web page will be able to provide up-to-date, reliable, and organized news coverage from around the world..

Scene 13 (7m 46s)

[Audio] After months of hard work and dedication, we proudly present the Simulation Diagram of our JAVA Spring Boot framework. This diagram illustrates the projected development of the web page in the upcoming months, granting our users easy access to current news worldwide in an ordered and detailed manner. Thanks to this cutting-edge software, our users will be kept up to date regarding recent events with great convenience..

Scene 14 (8m 14s)

[Audio] Our website is built with powerful hardware: the AMD Ryzen 5600H, with a 4.2ghz clock speed and efficient cooling technology, plus 8 GB of RAM. This allows us to multitask without lagging, hosting our application in the local host and testing the application simultaneously without any delay. This ensures our website will be reliably fast and responsive..

Scene 15 (8m 43s)

[Audio] Our team has opted for the AMD Ryzen 5600H processor for optimal performance and Windows 7 or higher for the operating system, with 8GB of RAM for an optimal user experience. The monitor used will offer a minimum resolution of 1024 * 768, and 5GB of disk space has been allocated for future developments..

Scene 16 (9m 8s)

[Audio] We expect our web page to have the capability to contain a variety of data collected from Newsapi by 01/24/2023. Hosting it on railway.app will make it accessible to everyone. We intend to extend the application to a bigger scale and use tomcat server to make sure that the complete application has one jar file. Additionally, hosting on big cloud services will stop any server downtime..

Scene 17 (9m 39s)

[Audio] We have come to the end of our presentation. We hope it has been enlightening and has given you an understanding of our project and the development we have made up till now. From the Department of Computer Science and Applications, we thank you for your time and attention..
