[Audio] Greetings and welcome, It is a privilege to address you as the Department of Textile and Apparel Engineering at the University of Moratuwa. Today, an essential focus of our attention revolves around a critical aspect of our department's mission – the facilitation of a seamless and enriching learning experience through the allocation of indispensable resources. As we embark on this collective journey, the spotlight will be directed towards our department's imperatives in terms of both qualified lecturers and the indispensable teaching materials. This presentation will outline our department's requirements for both qualified lecturers and the necessary teaching materials. These crucial components are the bedrock of our academic endeavors, allowing us to deliver high-quality education that equips our students for success in the vibrant world of textile and apparel engineering. So, without further ado, let us delve into the heart of our presentation and explore the intricacies of our resource requirements. The appointment of a lecturer to a specific module can occur through two distinct avenues: the role of a visiting lecturer or that of a guest lecturer. [Audio] During the second semester, we have identified two modules that necessitate additional support: TE1020 - Introduction to Textile and Apparel Industry and TE1040 - Pattern Technology and Construction 1. For the Introduction to Textile and Apparel Industry module, we are seeking assistance in organizing a one-week industry orientation program for approximately 100 students. This initiative involves coordinating with apparel manufacturers across the country, as our intention is to conveniently allocate students to various regions. This collaborative effort aims to enhance students' exposure to real-world industry practices. Furthermore, we are in need of a guest lecturer from the apparel industry who can provide insights into the apparel manufacturing process and shed light on other support departments. In relation to the second module, Pattern Technology and Construction 1, we require the expertise of a guest lecturer proficient in the art of pattern development and garment construction. This guest lecturer will be tasked with delivering lectures and evaluating student assignments, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of these vital aspects within the textile and apparel domain..
