Rationale. This study is conducted to assess how DepEd prepares parents at home for remote teaching, parents’ competence and readiness, their stress levels, and the stressors to parents who serve as teachers at home of their children in intermediate level. Identifying the factors that affect the parents’ competence and readiness, as well as their stress levels as teachers at home will provide important data needed for the faculty members of the College of Arts and Social Sciences on what intervention may be provided to enhance the collaborative teaching mode..

Methodology. Social/Environmental Impact. an opportunity to provide research-based factors that stress out parents in this teacher-at-home set-up and what affects their competence as teachers to their intermediate level children at home. a picture of the internal and external factors’ interplay that contribute to their competence and stress as they take on this extra responsibility in their child/ren’s academic success. noteworthy data on effective parental roles and support done by parents in facilitating their children in learning at home and their level of confidence which can also enlighten and guide parents to increase their competence as teachers at home and positively impact their children s’ academic success..

Accomplishment (Quarter 3). The study was able to accomplish the following : 1. Converted traditional paper survey questionnaire to Google forms. 2. . Conducted the survey to the respondents 3. Generated partial results from the respondents.

Problems Met Recommended Action Health protocols limit the researchers to administer profiling instrument due to COVID-19 Limited face to face conduct of the questionnaires observing proper protocols Difficulty in scheduling a pilot test to validate questionnaires and in retrieving questionnaires from validators Constant reminder of the schedule of pilot testing and follow-up among validators Inability to seek permission from the Schools division Superintendent before seeking permission from principals Draft a letter for the Schools Division superintendent.
