Temperature The  summers of Ladakh ranges from the month of  may to June,  roughly. Calling it a summer as the temperature ranges from 3 degrees at night to 16 degrees in the morning in May. As June arrives, highest shoot up goes with 21 degrees in daylight. Though  the area remains cold in general, direct sunlight and its exposure give sunburn and skin damage  easily. With  the onset of July, the warmest phase of Ladakh climate appears and a maximum of 25 degrees is easily noticeable. The snow caps melt and zone get rush of travelers at the fastest pace. By August, the  chills in Ladakh weather  starts to show its face again. In short, the place doesn't allow one to sleep without blankets in the night due to fall in diurnal temperature as the night rises, even in months of June and July.

Temperature Spring  is considered the most pleasant season over the plains of  West Bengal  and lies from mid-February to mid-March and is also the time where  Holi  is celebrated.  Palash  and Daffodils are popularly believed to be the harbinger of  spring .Temperatures   range between 20 ° C –  30 °C and no rainfall. Though occasional rain or light showers are witnessed due to Western disturbances in  North India .

Temperature Spring  is the time when Ladakh’s famous  apricot trees burst into bloom  and the valleys come alive with beautiful pink flowers. The  blooming  time is usually from end  of  March to mid-April but it varies with altitude. The temperatures are pleasant, ranging between 15 and 20°C during the day. Occasional snowfall can still occur in April but only  at higher altitude  (above 4,000 or 4,500 metres). The high mountain passes of Khardung La and Chang La  are  still covered with a thick layer of snow and driving through them is an unforgettable experience. The Leh-Srinagar road opens in April while the Leh-Manali road opens in early June. In late April, the frozen Pangong and Tso Moriri lakes start melting and patches of blue-hued water appear with the rising temperatures. This is one of Mother Nature's best spectacle

Temperature In autumn, the southwest monsoon wind returns and clears the sky. So, the state gets enough sunshine to be warm in the day and releases a lot of heat to be cool at night. At this time, a maximum temperature of 30–33 °C is felt over the plains and 17–19 °C in mountains. The minimum temperature is normally around 19–22 °C in plains and 6–11 °C in mountains . Darjeeling's temperature can drop below freezing point.

Temperature   Winter  in Ladakh (late October to February, Temperature  -5°C to 10°C ) The winter season in Ladakh starts from late October and lasts till February, with the temperatures dropping as low as 10°C. Snowfall occurs heavily during this time, and causes frequent blocking of roads .   January  is the coldest month with an average temperature in  Leh  of -3°C during the day and -15°C during the night. Despite the cold temperatures, it is well worth considering a trip to Ladakh in winter to see the mighty Himalayan landscapes covered with snow and experience the thrill of walking  on  a frozen lake.
