What Is It?. micro:Maqueen is a little robot car on two wheels that YOU can build and control! It uses a tiny computer called the micro:bit as its brain, and you get to teach it what to do..

Scene 3

Psst! Some parts, like the line sensors, are hiding underneath the robot.

Meet the Parts!. Every part has a special job to do. 

Scene 4

This tiny computer clicks into the top and remembers everything you teach it to do.

Like a bat, it sends out sound waves to 'see' objects in front and stop before bumping them.

Two little motors spin the wheels so the robot can zoom forward, backward, or spin around.

Hidden underneath, these help the robot follow a black line taped to the floor, like a path.

Bright LED lights you can program to glow any colour — red, blue, green, and more!

A tiny speaker that can beep, boop, and even play little songs.

Holds the batteries that give the robot its energy to move and light up.

The sturdy frame and wheels that let your robot roll, turn, and explore.

How Does It Think?. It follows 3 simple steps, over and over.

Its sensors check what's around — is there a wall ahead? Is it on a black line?

The micro:bit brain looks at your code and decides what to do next.

It tells the motors, lights, and buzzer what to do — drive, turn, light up, or beep!

It does this loop many times every second — that's what makes it feel alive!

Cool Tricks It Can Do!. Fun games and tasks you can teach it.

It spots things in its way and drives around them all by itself!

Draw a black line on the floor and watch it follow the trail like magic.

Steer it yourself with a remote control or a wireless controller.

Clap your hands or shine a light and watch it light up or beep back!

As you learn more, bigger robot versions can even have arms and cameras to do even more!
