Scene 2 (10s)

Details of the Case. It was found that Caleb’s parents only allowed him to stay on the back porch, backyard, or in his bedroom..

Scene 3 (1m 28s)

What Physical and Safety Needs does Caleb have?. Caleb has been diagnosed with developmental delay, and is currently 6 with the ability to dress himself, shower, and answer a few questions. With special individualized programs he can continue to progress in both education and societal skills. With early intervention Caleb can grow and continue on being independent, but he must be appointed with a guardian who will be nurturing, inclusive, and attentive with Caleb’s needs. It has been determined that Caleb is exposed to both physical and emotional abuse by both his parents and siblings. It has been a year and the parents are still adamant that it is their right to raise their children as they please. Due to this unsafe mentality, Caleb is still not able to reunite with his parents. If Caleb were to return to his parents home, he will be in danger of continuous physical and emotional abuse that can later on affect his mental health and further worsen his developmental delay..

Scene 4 (2m 36s)

Will Caleb’s Family be Reunited?. It has been determined that Caleb and his family should not reunite. His parents have proven that they will not change with their actions, or lack thereof. If reunited, Caleb would continue to be at risk. He will continue to be mentally, emotionally, and physically abused. Caleb should be reunited with his aunt, the relative who reported the situation at hand. This will allow Caleb to have a safe environment and caring caretaker. Caleb will have the opportunity to understand what a safe living situation looks and feels like. If Caleb’s parents decide to cooperate and prove that they will put in the work to better Caleb’s living conditions, then and only then will there be an opportunity for them to reunite..

Scene 5 (3m 34s)

Individual & Group Interventions Needed for Caleb’s Family.

Scene 6 (5m 3s)

Desired Treatment Outcomes. The desired treatment outcome for Caleb is to have him improve his developmental delays while being separated from his immediate family. Through treatment Caleb will have an increased level of childhood education. Caleb will remain with his aunt as she will provide a healthier environment that nurtures him alongside his treatment plan..
