Based on the book, the great rewiring is about Gen Z kids transitioning from play based childhood to phone base childhood and how the new smartphones are causing the younger generation to have mental illness. In further depth, an article called "The great rewiring of childhood" written by Jason Hollander, published on NYU.edu on June 28,2024. Talks about how Haidt has been demanding the use of smartphones among the younger generation is causing anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts..

[Audio] What is representation in terms of the media? An article called "Media representation-definition and explanation" published by the Oxford Review. They refer media representation on how individuals, communities, and groups are being portrayed through different medias like films, news, and social media. Representation in media can have two sides, it can be accurate, diverse, and positive, although on the other side, negative representation in media can create chaos, bias, misconceptions, and causing harmful stereotypes towards certain groups According to the article, Media representation can be important because it can help us in many ways, like shaping our identities, teaching each other cultures or challenges, and could make us feel a sense of belonging..

[Audio] What is Ai? how can this be a danger towards these concepts? Artificial intelligence is a simulation of human intelligence generated in a computer system than can do reasoning, problem-solving, perception, and language AI originates in 1956 as a Darthmouth summer research project on Artificial Intelligence, organized by John McCarthy. Ai became highly popular in 2022-present The younger generation and older folks can't really tell the difference between Ai and reality, so it is easier to trick them I think Ai can be very problematic towards these concepts because Ai can negatively generate a bunch of things like fake videos, images, and information that can be misleading towards the younger generation, social media apps, and how the media is being published. I have seen many videos on TikTok or other social media platforms where they post Ai fake videos, and people are believing them in the comments. It gets to the point where people can't even tell what's Ai or not.

[Audio] How AI affects social media for younger generation According to "Ai-images, real world Harms, published by "Psychologytoday.com" reviewed by Devon Frye, January 19, 2026. over the past months, Teens have posted in their social media, Ai generated nude images of other teens with the help of Grok. A generative Ai tool that was made by Elon musk. By using Grok; it was easy to generate these images by just applying a simple prompt Women and young girls were highly targeted. It creates harassment, objectification, and exploitation. These situations have created teens to have confused navigations where boundaries, expectations, and consent feels inconsistent..

[Audio] How AI affects representation in media There are many incidents where they use Ai in the media, like news, or anything political. Most recently, they been using Ai videos about the US-Isreal war with Iran. According to article called "Ai-generated Iran war videos surge as creators use new tech to cash in" produced by BBC, written by Thomas Copeland, March 6, 2026. So many Ai videos came out across social media apps about the Iran war with the US and Isreal. These videos are getting millions of views. When they notice these videos were Ai, people were concerning weather what videos were real or Ai. Since everybody wants to know what is going on around the world. They would stumble on these fake videos without you noticing it was fake. Which help these greedy creators to generate money..

[Audio] The fake video about the Tel Aviv bombing… Clearly, these images are so fake… One key point is that the Isreal flag is very distorted. Some even say how the cars look weird as well..

[Audio] How can we change this based on these concepts? We can protest to stop Using Ai that is accessible on our social media platforms. Create better parental controls on these social media platforms where the younger generation can't see or use Ai. We can turn off any settings that something to do with Ai. Any news related should be monitored by a respectable news source like NBC or BBC news. Kids having social media platforms should have a highly restricted version of the app, so they have less access towards the tools the social media provided.

[Audio] And its limitations. No matter what we do… Ai will never go away. It very easy to bypass age varication. Since Ai Is very popular throughout the world, it would be very difficult to remove and put an end to all Ai videos in social media. if removing Ai, people might see it as an attack on their freedom of speech. Since everything uses Ai nowadays, like iPhone with built in Ai systems, search engines, ChatGPT, Alex, social media algorithms, and many more. It would be very difficult to remove it since every company is using Ai as a profit..
