Calculators & Confetti : The ultimate birthday party budget

[Audio] First we will move on the learning objectives such as applying real world grade 8 math concepts next budgeting proportions and unit rates and percentage discounts . We need to host a birthday party for 10 guests with a strict budget of 800 riyals , our goal is to maximize entertainment and food quality within our budget..

[Audio] The party money will be spent on decorations and with a quantity of 1 pack costing 100 SAR with 12.5% out of total budget. Next we move onto food and drinks , that include 4 scrumpcious large pizzas and watered down drinks costing 80 riyals for pizzas and 10 riyals for sodas with 11.25% out of total budget . For the delightful dessert we have a custom spidey cake costing 250 SAR and 31.25% out of total budget . Now for the main entertainment we got trampoline zone bands with a unit price of 30 SAR and total cost of 10 guests = 300 SAR with 37.5% out of total budget. At last we got the party favors costing 50 sar with 6.25%. The total is a secret everybody grap your calculators and start . Gooooo on.

[Audio] This pi chart will make your understanding more better you can have a glance at it after the ppt finishes ! Now moving onto the twist that the pizza shop gave us 15 % discount . How can we calculate the discount just simply take the price of the pizzas which was 80 riyals and divide by total money which was 800 riyals and then multiply by 100 which leaves us with 10 riyals . Subtract 10 riyals from 800 riyals equals 790 SAR . Right now for better understanding we will divide total money with total guests which equals 79 SAR . WOOOW ! SPENDING 79SAR per person.

[Audio] What we learned was that budgeting uses simple ratios and percentages to plan real life events , next smart spending allocating 800 sar keeps the party fun and less budgeted . Every riyal is spend efficiently ..
