We are looking for qualified persons to fill the following positions:

Reporting to the Director, the successful individuals will be responsible for clerking patients and 
providing clinical care

Duties and responsibilities shall include but not limited to:

• 
Overall responsibility for daily clinical assessment and prescription of treatment for all 
patients attending the hospital.

• 
Organize with the medical team weekly work and day off schedule

• 
Identify and coordinate referral of patients for further management.

• 
Ensure proper documentation of patient notes.

• 
Improve patient records in line with the reporting system.

• 
Admit patients to the wards when necessary.

• 
Carry out surgical procedures at the hospital

• 
Attend to emergencies in the ward and Outpatient

• 
Develop clinical protocols and procedures.

• 
Training of junior staff on job and theory sessions

• 
Provide health talks to staff and patients

• 
Advise the management on clinical requirements

• 
Represent the hospital and liaise with local and national authorities to promote the 
hospitals programs

• 
Ensure students and interns on attachment are appropriately placed within medical 
department and appropriately supervised.

• 
Coordinating and administering relevant and timely continuous medical updates to other 
staff.

• 
Conducting internal quality checks at the hospital

• 
Carry out other relevant duties as may be assigned by management.

Job Title: Registered Clinical Officer (4 Positions)

Clinical Officer shall be responsible for patient consultations & drug prescription in line with the 
existing Clinical Guidelines. He will be answerable to the Medical Officer.

• Participate in patient consultations and discussion of cases with the doctors over best 
management suited to the patient’s condition.

•  Attend to emergency cases while on duty 
-Provide spot checks on the procedure performed by the nurses/lab personnel.  
•  To be a team player in healthcare provision,  
-CME presentation and active involvement in mortality audits.  
•  Perform quick evaluation for patients for Referral to tertiary level of care in the absence of a 
medical officer.  
•  Maintain a good record keeping system and undertake continuous monitoring and regular 
evaluation of the project activities.

•  Ensure that Medicines, medical supplies and other commodities stocks are monitored.

-Provide regular feedback to the Medical Officer on the clinic activities.

-Participate in the development of Health Facility work plans and reviewing them on a monthly 
basis with the Medical Officer.

Diploma/Degree in Clinical Medicine and Surgery from a reputable institution

• 
At least a year’s experience post internship.

Job Title: Registered Nursing Officer (5 Positions)

Assessing patients and clients and establishing health care needs. Answerable to the Nursing 
Officer In-charge.

1. planning and implementing nursing care interventions based on patients'/clients' health

2.  providing appropriate healthcare service, including immunization, Prevention of Mother

to Child Transmission of HIV (PMTCT), ante-natal care and delivery,

3. providing health education and counseling on identified health and socio-economic

4. referring patients and clients appropriately; 
5.  facilitating patients' admission and discharge in a health facility;  
6. ensuring a tidy and safe clinical environment;  
7. ensuring safe custody of in-patients belongings;  
8. maintaining records on patients/clients personal and health condition/care; 
9. evaluating healthcare outcomes on patients/clients and preparing individualized reports;  
10. conducting assessment of school health needs;  
11. planning, implementing interventions and preparing periodic reports;  
12. And guiding and orienting students on attachment.

Qualifications 
For appointment to this position, a candidate must have: 
(i) Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse Diploma from a recognized training institution; 
(ii) Registration Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya; 
(iii) Valid practicing license from Nursing Council of Kenya; and 
(iv) Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.
