PROBLEM. Waste management is important for environment and in long term it might affect climate. Attapadi is a fairly neat place without high amounts of plastic pollution. But its not completely free from plastics. Two years back the government collected plastic from the houses but now that is not followed. Hence plastic is either being reused, thrown into water bodies or roads. The situation is better than most other places in the state. But its still exists hence its better to act now rather than waiting for 10 years for the situation to worsen. Prevention is always better than cure. Since the plastic wastes are not properly collected, attended and recycled in Attapady but are very harmful for environment, the plastic wastes should be collected and treated in some other way. And this project could be a perfect solution to prevent Attapady from getting covered in plastic..
