Configuration of Makeup water pump set A and B - Each system have 4 duty Vertical multistage centrifugal pump mounted on mild steel baseplate . - Makeup water pump system A and B takes turn on 12 hour basis. - The duty pump set system run 1st pump with variable speed to maintain at the setpoint pressure. - Once setpoint pressure is achieved and maintained, pump speed will be maintained as well. - Should there be pressure drop, controller will then increase 1st pump operating speed to higher in order to achieve the setpoint pressure. - Once 1st pump speed higher than 98%, 2nd pump will start to operate and both 1st and 2nd pump will then operates with variables speed in order to maintain the setpoint pressure. - Should there be further pressure drop the 3rd pump will the start to operate in order to maintain the constant discharge pressure. - Should there be further pressure drop the 4th pump will the start to operate in order to maintain the constant discharge pressure. - The priority pump selected to run is based on shortest running time. The priority will skip if the pump is trip/fault..
