Scene 1 (0s)

[Audio] Hello everyone! If you are watching this, you could be working for any of the Logic offices across the world. If you are watching this, you are also in charge of either Project management or of the Delivery process in some capacity. This session then, is intended to introduce you to a brand new way of executing your Projects – be it an Implementation, Custom Development, Managed services or BI work. We are going to be calling this the Logic Global Delivery Model henceforth. GDM, in short. While the method can be new to some of you, the objective remains exactly the same as always – successful Project execution and overall Customer satisfaction. Why GDM? What is GDM? How will GDM help you and your team execute Projects better? Over the next few minutes, we will be trying to answer these questions..

Scene 2 (56s)

[Audio] Here is a preview of what we are going to run through in this introductory GDM roll-out session. Please feel free to note down your observations and/or questions and share it with us after the session. The internal Logic GDM site also has a Feedback section which allows you to share pertinent details along with any artifacts you may consider relevant to this process..

Scene 3 (1m 17s)

[Audio] The life of a Business is not too dissimilar to that of a human being. When just born and when in childhood, it is a time of rapid activity. Processes and understanding are not the driving force in this stage. Growth is. Accumulation of knowledge is. But when the Business is looking to mature, it is the sum effect of the knowledge - wisdom - which can help systematize operation. Successful long-term businesses start to focus on efficiency once having proven the effectiveness of the approach. Efficiency can only be achieved by repeatable and consistent process-based systems. This Systemic approach will help Logic become mature and speak in one voice even when distributed across the world... Helping Logic become a Global Brand that helps retailers address their business challenges through thought leadership, innovation, and delivery excellence..

Scene 4 (2m 9s)

[Audio] From somehow being able to deliver on Projects we are now attempting to move to a phase of optimizing Delivery. The route to this is via a Global Delivery Model. We have the Sales team, the opportunities and the personnel to manage and deliver Projects. Now it is time to optimize and standardize Delivery. This will elevate Logic to Global Standards and help promote consistency in thinking, approach and overall delivery across Logic's centres all over the world.

Scene 5 (2m 48s)

[Audio] 2025 is not just a fancy number. For Logic it is a global milestone. 2025 is the year by which we have teams across the globe who understand each other, can communicate with each other via Standardized Procedures, Document Templates and Project artifacts. We are poised for a jump into the big leagues of Retail. And here, our efficiency will be the differentiating factor when competing with companies many times our size in Resources and Revenue. It is our value proposition – our efficiency. And this efficiency is defined by the Delivery process we craft, implement and persevere with..

Scene 6 (3m 34s)

[Audio] Rather than a prescriptive approach we are trying to implement an organic evolution of sorts where we assimilate all the strengths of processes that we have implemented at various centres across the world and then also imbibe some of the best practices in the world of Software Development. Hence this is not just a bunch of documents that one has to cycle through. The documents are merely tools that help drive a Project from being a Problem to a full-fledged Solution..

Scene 7 (4m 1s)

[Audio] Please note how the Logic GDM process is the heart of our Project execution methodology and helps provide a clear path of execution to all our Resources regardless of location or time zone. Logic's Global Delivery Model Overview The Logic Global Delivery Model is just one of the cogs in the wheel of our overall Delivery engine. And when this methodology is supplemented by Quantitative Metrics along with a Review & Audit process we can attain the full potential of what our Global team has to offer. And that is to work as One Team. Of course it follows that we can function as one Team only if we follow one Process. And that process is detailed within Logic's Global Delivery Model. Above is a graphical illustration of the proposed seamless connect between the 3 core engines powering Logic - Opportunity, Consulting & Managed Services. Broadly every opportunity is cycled through the phases/activities depicted, always with an aim to have the Client's business needs covered under the Logic Global Delivery Model umbrella..

Scene 8 (5m 0s)

[Audio] It will be very easy to mistake the implementation of this whole process as merely a set of documents that need to be followed by rote. The documents are merely the tools utilized as part of the Global Delivery Model. The idea is to be able to get the Delivery to not be extremely Resource-dependent and help Logic get to a place of Systemic delivery where reviewing provenances on a document will bring a Resource up to speed on current activity and what his/her role in the job is going to be. By promoting Resource Redundancy, we inculcate Project/Process Efficiency as well as fuel personal growth for Resources However, it is critical to emphasize that Logic's Global Delivery Model comprises essential components that help Standardize Delivery processes independent of Geographical location or Resource experience. To accomplish this, all Metrics built-in or suggested are Pro-active, and end-goal-oriented and are intended to initiate overall Improvement.

Scene 9 (6m 3s)

[Audio] In a nutshell, our present work execution model - before Logic GDM - is pretty much left to each Geo and within the Geo to perhaps the individual Project Manager. Implementing metrics and a review process without changing the Delivery model is akin to performing postmortem after the patient dies. This is because we are not changing the activity cycle, dependencies and control/check points involved at every stage of the process..

Scene 10 (6m 31s)

[Audio] It's every Logic Geo for itself. Imagine how it would appear or make sense to the Management when they try to understand the individual approaches and when they wish to implement a process improvement strategy across the board. Every Logic Geo is still focused on 'Project Completion' but since the route taken is so different, standardization of Delivery methodology is almost impossible!.

Scene 11 (6m 56s)

[Audio] Once a few pilots have been made as part of our endeavour to make the Delivery Model Go Live, we can see Critical Project Resources allow themselves being guided by the steps in the set processes. The demonstrable benefit of such an approach is the beginning of true reporting and metrics from a Project - giving the success or failure of a Project some global visibility which has hitherto been missing for the most part..

Scene 12 (7m 21s)

[Audio] After understanding and utilizing the GDM approach across a few engagements, our teams across all regions now allow themselves to be bookended by the standardized processes of the GDM approach. And because our focus with the GDM approach is to bring together the various critical resources, (the CAL's, CEL's, CDL's PM's) in harmony with their executive teams, powered by the standardized Project/Performance artifacts - successful Project execution is a little less chaotic and a little more harmonic..

Scene 13 (7m 54s)

[Audio] Once Logic GDM has been implemented across all regions and the playbook has been run through a few times across a variety of project scenarios - the dynamics of Project execution teams and their cohesiveness, as well as consistency, reach a stand-out level. Resources and their stationed location may not matter anymore. For Logic, we promote cost-effective Project execution. For Logicians we offer optimum career growth and the experience of being a part of a High growth, optimized cycle. Over and above all, we offer all the benefits of a globally cohesive workforce that knows how to leverage its experience and expertise to our Clients. Whether they speak to Kathmandu or Chennai or Minnesota, a Client gets to hear the same terms, see the same manner of execution and receive the same kind of reports/metrics!.

Scene 14 (8m 47s)

[Audio] In a fully mature implementation scenario of the GDM approach, the vision is to have a continuous loop of empowering data/learnings/improvements from the Projects/Customers being fed back into the Project execution process itself. This then is utilized by the Core Project Management team to select, hone and apply the Technology expertise required to lead to ultimate Customer Satisfaction. And because the Metrics and artifacts defined at various stages of Project completion are standardized, centralization and performance insight across all centres is now a reality. Continuous improvement of efficiency is also now realized..

Scene 15 (9m 28s)

[Audio] Being a Data driven organization is not just a nice thing but it is both a scientific and a Logic-al thing! Pun intended. It is data which helps us learn, evolve and keep track. Ideally when we have data, we the people need only speak less; our data speaks for us!.

Scene 16 (9m 47s)

[Audio] The most efficient processes are built to mimic a feedback loop. So over time it actually becomes better due to imbibing organic feedback continuously. It takes a while to design and implement such a system. It is also an investment of time to bring the resources up to speed on such a system and identify roles for each of the team members. But the payoff is that Logic gets to a stage where the process becomes a set of looking glasses that our resources use to look at the central customer problem at hand and let the process itself guide their actions right through to total customer satisfaction..

Scene 17 (10m 23s)

[Audio] Even the best processes need maintenance and attention! This is what provides life to the process and helps it flower and fruit – so to speak. Regular calls with the Overall Delivery Head is not only a way for Logic to keep tabs on Project progress but also an opportunity for the Project managers across the globe to tune into the minds of the policy setters and align themselves with the Company goals – long and short term..

Scene 18 (10m 50s)

[Audio] When every region is convinced that they are right, it is the tough to put across the point of a cohesive and shared Delivery Model as a process. But as they say, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. The results do speak for themselves. And once the processes have been finely tailored and have started producing results, we can use the Quality Audit platform to trap exceptions and address them separately..

Scene 19 (11m 13s)

[Audio] A sample Dashboard with metrics which help showcase the Project's current health and activities to the Management.

Scene 20 (11m 32s)

[Audio] Logic fully realizes that the best processes are built in collaborative fashion and synergy leads to excellence. So, if you have any thoughts to share after viewing this introductory video, please scan the QR code to share your feedback and suggestions!.
