CONCLUSION. CONCLUSION. Terms such as “morality," “the moral law" and even “sin” often make people uncomfortable because they associate these terms with a spirit of judgmentalism and narrow-mindedness. The prevailing wind of many Western societies today is a secularizing trend that increasingly views matters of morals and truth as subjective in nature, so much so that if one dares to publicly state a Christian or Catholic position on a given issue affecting public policy, that person is accused of imposing his or her personal moral views-or the moral views of his or her particular church-on others. While there is often a call to respect diverse points of view, it sometimes becomes clear that this tolerance for opinions stops short of respecting anything that smacks of traditional Christian morality..
