Scene 4

The objective here is to give the grade 7’s more leadership responsibilities. To grow and nurture their leadership potential.  Sports committee: Assist the sports department with admin and sport events, simple jobs like neatening sports areas, ensuring that students are dressed appropriately, support and guide the teams. House Captains: responsible for leading their respective houses. Assist teachers/officials at  interhouse  events, responsible for the spirit of their respective houses.   Outreach committee: outreach, collections and building long lasting and impactful relationships with our neighboring communities.   Events/PR or functions committee: assist the marketing department, restricted social media use, assist in the organizing of events. Writing articles to post and share. Meet and greet visitors to the school.   Eco committee: to drive the recycling at the school as well any other relevant environmental projects within our community.  Student Representatives Council:  Represent the needs of the students. To give the students a voice (within reason). Two representatives per class. In 2021 we invite grades 4 -7 to this platform. Hub/academic committee: book drives;  readathons ; Olympiads; space in robotics.

Scene 5

+- 35 monitors per term. Leadership committees time frame - 1 year   Students will choose a committee of their choice. The ratio of students to the number of committees will be considered. (two options).  SRC and Sports Captains committee members are democratically voted for.  Link to glow points. Teachers in charge of committees only for facilitation purposes.

Scene 6

one leadership workshop per term (activities and skills) focusing on different elements of leadership: Team leadership and benefits of teamwork Building friendships around shared experiences  Value and benefit of supportive  behaviour   Development of communication skills  Respect and appreciation of one another  Responsibility and ethical  behaviour  (integrity)  Service (Servant leadership)

Scene 7

Expectation of monitors First group of Monitors (Alphabetical order- 35 students). Pair with Foundation Phase classes and expectations.  Break duties and how they are structured.  Challenge on you on how we can further develop the monitor portfolio.
