Latissimus pull ( lat pull)

The pull-down exercise is a strength training exercise designed to develop the latissimus dorsi muscle. It performs the functions of downward rotation and depression of the scapulae combined with adduction and extension of the shoulder joint.

2) PREPARATORY PHASE

To lengthen the appropriate muscles so that they will be in position to generate more force & momentum when concentrically contract in next phase The chin is backward posteriorly Chest up superiorly and in ready position Trunk is straight with the elbow flexion, holding the bar tightly

Is the action part of the skill Summation of force is generated directly to the bar Subject pulls down elbows inferiorly to the ground as well as the bar The chest is elevated superiorly and the lower extremity is fixed to the ground

Begins immediately after climax of movement phase The body segment velocity progressively decreases over a wide range of motion Subject raises up the bar superiorly as well as follow the direction of bar The trunk is in straight position
