[Audio] Safety Induction Course Flowchart 1. Personnel that need to enter site to work must submit SIC Application name list & relevant document to SMCC. 2. SMCC Admin or EHS Team will verify all submitted documents. 3. Online Web Link will be given to attend SIC at own timing anytime of the day. 4. Security Photo Pass, Training Card and SIC Helmet Sticker will be given, after completed the SIC and Pass the Test. 5. Site Security will verify the Photo Pass during first entry to site. 6. Once Enter to site, report to SMCC admin or EHS Team to register for facial recognition and thumb print to have permanent access to turnstile. 7. Display SIC Sticker On Helmet and photo Pass/Training card must be with individual at all time when on site..

[Audio] Security Procedure Upon completion of Safety Induction Course, Permanent photo pass will be issued with Induction sticker that must be pasted on the safety helmet. Visitors and delivery driver will be given V-Pass and T-Pass that need to be change at the security guardhouse..
[Audio] Off Site removal of materials. Any materials that need to be remove from site must get the approval from SMCC Management. Outward declaration form must be completed and signed by SMCC authorised person and to be handed over to the Duty Security for verification. Duty Security will check the items that need to be brought out from the project. You are requested to cooperate with the duty security.

[Audio] These are the basic In House rules that will be implemented in the project. Disciplinary action will be taken to personnel who violate the In House Safety Rules. Some Example of Violations are: Not Wearing PPE while doing physical work. Unauthorised entry to site. Work without Approved PTW. Work Without Approved Risk Assessment. Unauthorized use or operating equipment. Under the influence of Drug and or Alcohol. Smoking at non designated area, Gambling and Vaping. Theft and Vandalism. Horseplay and Altercation. Vehicle and Pedestrian Traffic Violations Unsafe Act and Unsafe Conditions. Health and Environment. Depending on the nature of the Violations, SMCC Management will decide the disciplinary action. Verbal warning will be given for first violation. Second Violation will be written warning and Third Violation will suspension or terminated from site..

[Audio] These are all basic In house safety rules that is not allowed to be done. Do not use rope as a safety barrier. All Safety Barrier must be Hard Barricade install using scaffold pipe. Rope are not allowed to be use as a fall protection..
[Audio] Do not work alone on platform ladder, always have someone to hold the ladder. Buddy system. A frame ladder is not allowed in the project. Only use platform ladder up to maximum height of 1.8 meters..
[Audio] Do not use unsafe platform unless it is properly erected. Work Platform shall be erected by qualified person, Ensure that platform is Safe for use before start work. Safety Harness shall be anchored to a strong anchor point while work at height. All work at height above 1.8 meters must wear safety harness anchor to the provided strong anchor point..
[Audio] Do not leave floor opening without proper protection. All floor openings shall be properly protected with strong floor cover; hard barricade must be installed around the area and display warning or danger sign..
[Audio] Do not leave exposed sharp and protruding objects without protection. All protruding's and sharp objects must be protected to prevent accidental contact that may lead to injury..
[Audio] Do not stay on scaffold platform when pushing or transfer location. No person shall be allowed on Mobile Scaffold when Mobile Scaffold need to be transfer from one location to another. All man must climb down the mobile Scaffold before pushing or transferring the mobile scaffold..
[Audio] Do not operate moving equipment without any banksman, All moving machinery shall be provided with banksman equip with proper vest, flag and whistle..

[Audio] Do not enter confine space until it is gas free. Always conduct gas check before entering a confine space.
[Audio] Do NOT Walk, Work, Stand or ride under suspended Load. Lifting zone must be fully barricade and display prominent warning signages to prevent unauthorized entry..
[Audio] All work activity that need to be done on site must be provided with method statement and risk assessment that shall be endorse and approved by SMCC Management. Contractors must develop their method of work sequence and assess the risk related to the said activity with proper control measures to eliminate or reduce the risk related to their activity. All document must be submitted to SMCC at least 1 week before the planned work to start..
[Audio] Before any work activity start, contractor task supervisor must apply permit to work and must be approved by SMCC management. Permit applicant must possess at least Supervisory certificate, example Lifting Supervisor Certificate or Building Construction Supervisor certificate. Permit to work applicant must be the task supervisor assigned to supervised the work..
[Audio] This flow chart shows the sequence of application. Permit applicant will attached the necessary documents that will be verified by SMCC team and approved by SMCC management. Subsequently permit shall be endorsed daily which will be valid for one week and to be closed if work completed or renew the following week if the work continue..

Specific task, example Lifting operation, Piling work, work at height, Excavation, Confine space and hot work must apply separate permit together with general work permit..
[Audio] Safe Lifting practice. Observed safe lifting practice at all times. Make every lifting operation a safe operation. Make sure the load is stable, secure and balance before lifting operation.
[Audio] Before any lifting activity, ensure that all lifting team are certified and appointed for the said lifting operation. Lifting Permit are approved as per lifting plan. Follow the 3 by 4 safe lifting sequence. 1. Confirm the correct lifting gear and sling method. 2. Move 3 meters away before lifting the load off the ground. 3. Lift up the load around 30 centimetre and check the load balance. 4. Lift up the load once the balance is ok..
[Audio] Confined Space work. All entry to confine space shall follow confine space entry procedure. Confine Space supervisor must ensure permit to work is approve, gas testing is done and the atmosphere is safe before entry, All the necessary PPE and emergency equipment must be at or near the entry location..
[Audio] Only authorized person can enter a confined space. The entry person must have attended confined space training. Confine space attendance must always be at the entrance of the confine space. Examples of confined space are tanks, manhole, pits, chambers. Confined space are to be ventilated, and gas checked before any work is to proceed..
[Audio] All appointed person must be trained in the relevant trade he will be assign to do the work. Example of training is Rigger and Signalman which is trained by accredited training provided approved by Ministry of Manpower. Other training include Lifting Supervisor, Manhole Supervisor and many more..
[Audio] Beside the training from third party training provider, SMCC will conduct In House Training for personnel doing specific task for example: Banksman, Fire watchman, Chemical handler and other related work which may need training..
[Audio] Contractors must conduct their own daily toolbox meeting and task supervisor must conduct daily task risk assessment and fill up all the provided forms that need to be submitted to SMCC safety department on a weekly basis..
[Audio] Emergency procedure. In the event of any Actual Emergency or Schedule Drill, all personnel must stop work, switch off all running machinery, follow instruction from fire warden and walk to the assembly area which is located near the security guard post at the main entrance. At the assembly area individual contractor will do your head count and report to SMCC in charge of head count..
[Audio] All accident and incident must be reported to SMCC and SMCC will do our internal reporting according to the flow chart. Initial investigation report shall be submitted to SMCC within 24 Hour from the time of incident. SMCC management will decide on the final investigation and follow up action..
[Audio] In the event when weather changes, lightning detector will be use to monitor the lightning status. Whistle or air horn will be use to activate the lightning alert status. All personnel must stop their work activity, come to the lightning protected zone and wait for further instruction. SMCC team will make the announcement once the lightning alert is over..

To motivate All personnel to work safely, safety incentive will be awarded to workers and supervisors for good safety performance, SMCC safety team will make the selection base on the evaluation criteria. Certificate of recognition and token of appreciation will be given to the selected person..

[Audio] Equipment inspection and maintenance. All Machinery and equipment that need to bring to site must be inspected at subcontractor assign location. SMCC management will decide if on site inspection can be done depending on case to case basis. Only hand tools and hand held electrical tools are allowed to be inspected onsite either by SMCC safety department or Licence Electrical Worker..
[Audio] All relevant certificate, example Lifting Machine certificate and Insurance certificate for the inspected equipment shall be provided and log in to the initial equipment mobilisation checklist..
[Audio] Subsequently, all equipment and tools shall be inspected on a monthly basis, inspection tag and monthly inspection colour shall be displayed on the equipment and signed by the inspector..
[Audio] Chemical management. All chemical brought to site must be provided with materials Safety Data Sheet (SDS). All Safety Data Sheet must be revised within 5 years from the last revision date. Safety data sheet with more that 5 years from the original prepared date will not be accepted..
[Audio] All personnel handling chemical must be appointed and trained so that they understand the standard procedure from storage to handling, what type of PPE must be worn and what to do in case of spillage, in contact or any other emergency. Safety data sheet must be available at all storage and handling area. All chemical storage must be provided with secondary containment, example drip tray..
[Audio] Stay hydrated. Give yourself plenty of water and air. Ensure workers get adequate rest under the shade to allow for recovery from heat. Provide hourly rest break of 10 minutes when the temperature increase. SMCC will monitor the temperature using wet bulb globe temperature and advise all personnel accordingly..
[Audio] Heat stress. Always maintain proper hydration. Drink small amount of water frequently. Avoid feeling thirsty. When the weather is hot, cool down whenever possible. Wear loose clothing. If you must work in the sun use sunscreen. Look out for each other, look out for the sign and symptoms of heat stress, example dizziness, headache, weakness and many more..
