Invest in Training = Invest in Employees - Staff training is crucial to improving cleaning job performance. It is also imperative for the housekeeping staff to understand the key role they play in a Tourism revenue generation by providing clean spaces for valued visitors/Tourist..

Scene 38 (13m 19s)

Our in house technical team proposed an idea to ease and quicken the garbage collection mechanism and designed and built a hand held device to collect trash on the beach. This device would also help collect finer / smaller pieces of thrash, which might go unnoticed at times. This also ensures that the beach sand is not carried along with the litter..

Scene 39 (13m 58s)

Maintenance and operation strategy.

Scene 40 (14m 4s)

Maintenance and Operations Strategy. Here's our comprehensive approach for operation strategy: Assessment and Planning: Identify the scope and scale of the beach cleaning operation. Determine the extent of the area to be cleaned and the frequency required. Conduct an initial assessment of the types of litter typically found on the beach. This could include plastics, debris from recreational activities, natural debris, etc. Evaluate potential environmental risks and sensitive areas that require special attention. Establish clear goals and objectives for the cleaning operation, considering factors such as environmental protection, public safety, and aesthetics..

Scene 41 (14m 47s)

Maintenance and Operations Strategy. Implementation: Establish a regular schedule for beach cleaning activities based on factors such as seasonality, weather conditions, and visitor patterns. Deploy teams to systematically clean designated areas of the beach, focusing on high-traffic areas and spots prone to accumulation of litter. Utilize appropriate tools and equipment for collecting and disposing of litter, such as rakes, shovels, trash bags, and litter pickers..

Scene 42 (15m 27s)

Training of manpower and stakeholders.

Scene 43 (15m 34s)

How to work safely in beaches like staying away from sea and stray animals. Usage of proper equipment and safety gears. Follow checklists and Standard.

Scene 44 (16m 15s)

On daily basis attendance register will be maintained to record the number of staffs deployed. If required attendance will be recorded using bio metric machines. Specific register will be maintained to record the details about the waste collected from respective shacks. As an evidence, the respective shack manager will be asked to sign the register on daily basis. In each site office, a complaint book will be made available for the visitors to register their grievances..

Scene 45 (16m 39s)

Emphasis on development of trained manpower that are domicile of Goa..

Scene 46 (16m 47s)

Local candidates understand the culture in which they live. That means they can navigate potential problems with greater ease. That usually translates to higher productivity and a decrease in financial loss They speak the language, they understand local business customs, and if you’ve hired well, they come with strong local networks and personal connections..

Scene 48 (17m 28s)

Suggest DOT to keep the necessary safety and awareness sign boards to educate the tourists/ locals visiting the beach to use the dust bins, not to litter on the beach and to reduce the use of plastic etc..

Scene 49 (17m 47s)

Public awareness:. Just not making sure the beaches are clean, we stride a step more educating the tourist and locals coming to beach not to litter. Our supervisors will be wearing May I help you Logo’s and will be announcing and talking to the tourists about The pollution impacting our beaches- plastic pollution Avoid bringing and usage of plastic in the beaches Use appropriate dustbins to throw wet and dry waste Throw food waste only in dustbins Avoid feeding stray animals so that they don’t return to beaches Avoid bringing pets to beaches Not throwing anything in sea or shore Participate in Government initiative of Swachh Bharat activities.

Scene 50 (18m 17s)

Apart from waste collected at beach, it will be also collected from shacks if any located at respective Beach once in the morning. A separate register will be maintained to record the daily collection of garbage from these shacks. Shacks manager/in-charge will be requested to avoid usage of plastic like plastic water bottles, cups and covers. They will be requested to use metal or bio degradable items and to segregate waste at source Pack in respective colored bags (Wet & Dry) for easy shifting of waste. They will be asked to educate their guests not to throw any waste or bottles in and around beach KCIC Regional Supervisor/ Supervisor will visit these shacks to discuss with the shack manager to improve service and ensure the above is followed.
