[Audio] In September 2023, the state of California introduced SB 553, also known as the Workplace Violence Prevention Law (WVPP). It requires employers to become more proactive about workplace violence identification and violence. SB 553 requires all employers to develop a workplace violence prevention plan, train employees annually, and maintain accurate records of any incidents that may occur. Employers must also ensure that employees are aware of their rights and responsibilities under the law and have access to resources and support services..
