It contributes to a substantial proportion of health problems in most countries Mental Health issues are expected to be major problems among Malaysians. Mental health problems are among the most important contributors to the burden of disease and disability worldwide. Mental illness is a major source of loss of productivity and wellbeing as mental health is essential for economic development. Generally Mental health is the condition which is its influenced mind in dealing the daily activities. Therefore, mental health problems in Malaysia should be controlled to ensure the community to live a better life..

Mental health problems in Malaysia should be controlled because it is an important components of overall health.  For example, depression increases the risk for many types of physical health problems and particularly long-lasting conditions like diabetes, heart disease, and stroke. Similarly, the presence of chronic conditions can increase the risk for mental illness. Forcibly displaced persons face a number of stressors as well as high emotional distress. Culturally attuned mental health interventions are needed for these populations. This study proposes a culturally adapted CBT intervention that was efficacious in reducing emotional distress, anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Refugees in Malaysia are in need of mental health services. This study conducted a Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) of a culturally adapted Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) group intervention among female refugees in Malaysia. Valid reviews of the effects of mental health care depend on identifying as high a proportion as possible of relevant randomized controlled trials (RCTs). To investigate the sensitivity and precision both of MEDLINE and of hand-searching for RCTs in mental health, 12 journals specializing in mental health and indexed by the National Library of Medicine (NLM). The optimal MEDLINE search had a sensitivity of only 52% (CI 48–56%) and precision of 59% (CI 55–63%). Of the reports of RCTs identified by the hand-search, 9% (CI 7–11 %) were not included in MEDLINE at all. Authors had included methodological descriptions in 84% (CI 80–88%) of RCTs found by the hand-search but missed by the MEDLINE search. Systematic reviews of mental health care which are based solely on MEDLINE searches of the literature will miss a large proportion of the relevant RCTs, and are thus liable to random error and bias. By controlling this mental health issue that happens in Malaysia, the anxiety that appeared in people on their daily life can be reduce. Other than that, it can improve moods and reduced risk of depression especially when we had to deal with COVID-19 pandemic that cause people to live in the new norm. The unemployment rate is rising due to many people losing income because the employers had to stop operating their company because of the government order and also the rising in debt ratios. People need a good mental health to face this current situation. Besides, the way to  improve their mental health has been well documented with the introduction by improving the levels of physical fitness (Positive Psychology.com). It will make people to have a sharper memory and stronger resilience. Hence, people will have a better sleep without need to think about their problems. By getting enough sleep, people can increase their energy and clarity on thinking to perform daily tasks.

As a conclusion, mental health is a term that encompasses a range of experiences and situations that an individual can feel both mentally and physically. These mental and physical feelings can cause the individual to become divided and live a separate life from others in society. Besides, mental illness can affect to every part of a person’s life, including their physical health, occupation, family and social life and relationships. Therefore, mental illness is very important to be treated to ensure that one’s life runs smoothly without mental disorders.

Providing free counseling services to all Malaysian people should be considered by the ministry of health. The ministry of health may direct all government-owned hospitals to provide  appropriate treatment to all patients. To facilitate matters and avoid congestion, the hospital management can recommend that the people get appointment date in advance before attending the nearest hospital. Patients are able to obtain regular counseling sessions and get the treatment they need by expressing and recounting the problems and stresses they face especially when the country and the world face this challenging covid-19 situation to the specialists who treat them. The patients can use the advice from the specialists to overcome their problem. By overcome their problem and reduce pressure with advice from the specialists, mental health problems in Malaysia can be controlled.

When people having mental health literacy, the awareness and knowledge of the mental health disorders among people will increases. In addition, the public needs to be equipped with sufficient knowledge about mental illness because it can ensure the people with minor and major symptoms will get a proper treatment that they need. Therefore, this will allow them to have an awareness of the importance of treating mental illness..

Awareness and health literacy are two sides of the same coin. Stigma and discrimination are negative consequences of ignorance and misinformation. These findings reinforce the need to increase awareness of mental health. Mental health literacy is a related concept which is increasingly seen as an important measure of the awareness and knowledge of mental health disorders. Health literacy has been described as “ability to access, understand, and use the information to promote and maintain good health.” Mental health literacy encompasses recognition, causes, self-help, facilitation of professional intervention, and navigating the information highway .Attitudes which hinder recognition and appropriate help-seeking can be counter-acted by information which is already readily available in the public domain. There are plenty of examples of awareness positively impacting mental health outcomes like the Norwegian campaign to reduce the duration of untreated psychosis.

The results and the experience of this study clearly stated the mental health issues in Malaysia landscape is an urgent need to further enlighten by government and society to take this as serious matters. The government should highlight the mental health issue as country agenda as increase in funds for the Health Ministry to implement and execute more anti stigma campaigns aiming to develop a positive healthy public attitude in relation The results of this study also revealed that mental health is common and can affect anyone without age, race boundaries. Greater awareness about mental health and early diagnosis can reduce the statistic of suffering from mental health related problems. Nevertheless, there is room for improvement for the findings and methods to do future research
