I can still hear the deep laughter within a crowded room. Is it him? I pinch myself a few times and reality dawns on me. Selvan is no longer and neither is Priscilla. May God bless their souls.   They have been called to the Lord’s greener pastures. Yes, its true, our GOLDEN Boy has died. He is now with his priceless jewel Priscilla. They lost their grip on life only 2 days apart. They were cheated by a virus called COVID. Whatever we have lost is most certainly, GOD’s gain. Those two beautiful souls are soaring with the Angels.   The words, ‘’helpful, loving, giving and understanding’’ best describes Selvan. Priscilla emulated Selvan in more ways than one. Their disposition displayed similarities. When I lost my Mum a few years ago, Selvan way my right-hand man assisting me with almost every facet of the funeral and the 40 days Thanksgiving Service.  He put his business on hold to undertake this noble deed. When I lost my son and daughter in law in an accident in 2013, he once again came to the forefront to assist us.

I have hence named him the Golden Child in our Family. He had foresight of offering his help prior to being asked for assistance. He was a special Angel sent by God to assist in overcoming people’s burdens.   As a little boy, I can remember Selvan washing his brother cars’ to earn pocket money.  He even washed my car a few times. After washing his brother Roy’s Opel Manta, he would take it for a spin. He hence learnt how to drive.  His hard-working disposition together with his family’s positive input,  Salvin , became a successful Businessman.  This made me very proud of him then and alas, no one to continue with the legacy.   I wold not be doing justice if I did not inform you of his sporting achievements.  Salvin  played Amateur football for Pastoral United and a few other teams.   During his High school career, he played Professional Football for Manning Rangers and Berea.  His elder Brother Roy, put a stop to his pro football career as it would interfere with his studies.  As a result,  Salvin  continued playing amateur football.  He was an OUTSTANDING Athlete and a role model to many youngsters in  Overport .

It is so sad that the both of you have left us at such a young age.  Together, the both of you however lived life to the fullest.  There was never a dull moment in your company.  I remember us singing the Bad Company songs at Karaoke.   You may be gone, but never forgotten.   Long LIVE SELVAN and PRISCILLA Rest in Peace Forever.   With Love,  Mike Moodley

In Loving Memory    In memory of Selvan and Priscilla.   I've  met Selvan and Priscilla  and have known  them for +-3 year’s.   Today is full of beautiful memories of 2 special people laid to rest and  every single one of them is filled with happiness.   Selvan and Priscilla will always be a SPECIAL COUPLE and were always such a joy to know.  And there was so much pain and suffering when it was time to go. In Loving Memory Uncle  Salvin , it’s difficult to express my feelings into words. I have the fondest childhood memories of you.  As I think of you, full of life, I remember running into your arms as you scooped me up for a hug. I remember the thrill I felt as you tossed me into the air.  I remember feeling like I could touch the sky. But you got there before me, and I know that Heaven has welcomed two angels Aunt Priscilla and you, still full of that buoyant life you both always had. I called you a few weeks ago to thank you for going out of your way to help.  Uncle  Salvin , you loved helping more than anything else.  You have touched my family and my life with your selfless and countless acts of kindness, always giving and never expecting anything back in return. Uncle  Sel , you were and will always be an inspiration to us.  We are all blessed for having known you. For having loved you and been loved by you. I want to write words as impactful as your actions but as I write I realize that it is an impossible task. In Loving Memory   I have the  honour  and privilege to pay tribute  to a very special and irreplaceable person in our lives.  my beloved baby Brother  Salvin .  There is  soo  much I could tell you about his life, But my heart wells with emotion and sorrows.  When thinking about the kindness of his heart … and the depth of his LOVE for his family and friends.  Today as we have gathered together to celebrate  Salvin  and Priscilla’s life,  we give thanks to God that we could have shared special milestones on Earth with them.

My Poem.... A SILENT TEAR, Just close your eyes and you will  see all the memories you have of me.  Just sit and relax and you will find  Im  really still there inside your mind.  Don’t cry for me now I’m gone.  For I am in the land of song.  There is no pain, there is no fear, so dry away that silent tear.  Don’t think of me in the dark and cold,  For here I’m no longer old.
