Formal Friday Tweet. CI - IITA. “Continuous Improvement (CI) is an ongoing effort to make incremental improvements to products, services or processes over time. Processes are constantly audited and modified based on their sustainability , efficiency, and effectiveness”.

~20 staff members across several disciplines trained as CI practitioners . 10 projects are in progress. Identified several staff members to form the initial CI core team to advance the CI mindset and culture. Training the Trainers.

All supervisors in breeding operations and breeders have taken the CI Foundations course (~ 8hrs.) A CI introduction course is included in the onboarding process for new hires. eLearning course to introduce CI concepts and methods. Alick to pilot the course. The CI core team collaborates with everyone (upstream and downstream) in the organization to focus on improvements that operationalize the IITA overall strategy. Everyone is thinking about and practicing CI in their daily work. Key metrics in quality, cost, delivery, safety, morale, and agility are improving. CI – Part of PAR system (workplan).
