Scene 1 (0s)

Teaching philosophy and professional development signature assignment.

Scene 2 (9s)

[Audio] My Education beliefs are that All Students Can Learn- that every student has the potential to learn and succeed with the right support and resources. Diversity and Inclusion- That we should embrace and celebrate diversity in the classroom, creating an inclusive environment for all students. Student-Centered Learning- we need to focus on the individual needs and interests of students to guide the learning process. Collaboration and Communication- we need to emphasize the importance of collaboration among students and effective communication skills. Critical Thinking- we need to promote the development of critical thinking skills to analyze information and solve problems effectively. The philosophies I most align with are existentialism which focuses on individuality, freedom, and personal responsibility in education. Constructivism which emphasizes active learning, critical thinking, and the importance of prior knowledge in learning. And Progressivism as it encourages hands-on learning, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills in education..

Scene 3 (1m 12s)

[Audio] My goals are to inspire the love of learning through encouragement and positive communication and good rapport between students, teachers and staff. My goals are also to facilitate learning, provide guidance and support all students. I want to create an encouraging a positive and inclusive classroom environment. I also want to create a positive and respectful learning environment by providing constructive feedback and encouragement..

Scene 4 (1m 41s)

[Audio] I can meet my goals as a teacher by being knowledgable in my understanding of core academic subjects, having an awareness of current events and global issues, making sure I have cultural competency and appreciation for diversity. I also need to continue to increase my knowledge in digital literacy and technology skills as well as in Social-emotional skills and self-regulation. I will use ongoing formative assessments such as quizzes, polls, and exit tickets to monitor student progress and provide timely feedback for improvement. I will guiding students through asking questions, exploring topics, and conducting research to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills using inquiry based learning. I will promote collaborative learning by facilitating group projects, discussions, and peer review activities to promote teamwork, communication, and shared learning experiences. I will provide culturally relevant teaching through integrating diverse perspectives, cultural references, and real-world examples into the curriculum to make learning meaningful and relatable for all students. I will provide constructive feedback on student work, encouraging self-assessment, and promoting reflective practices to support continuous growth and improvement. And I will build relationships by creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment by building positive relationships with students, fostering a sense of belonging, and addressing individual needs with care and empathy..

Scene 5 (3m 10s)

[Audio] The evidence that goals have been met will be seen through creating student work portfolios where we showcase student projects, assignments, and assessments that demonstrate mastery of skills and concepts aligned with the teaching goals. I will use assessment data to analyze assessment results to track student progress, identify areas of growth, and measure achievement of learning objectives. I will encourage students to reflect on their learning journey, growth mindset, and areas of improvement to promote self-awareness and ownership of learning. I will implement peer review activities and self-assessment tools to foster metacognitive skills, critical thinking, and collaborative learning practices. And finally, I will conduct classroom observations, provide constructive feedback, and engage in reflective dialogues with students to support continuous improvement and learning..

Scene 6 (4m 7s)

[Audio] My motivation and inspiration to teach came from the position I currently work in and the teachers I am able to work with. I am currently a special circumstance instructional assistant working with adult transition special education students. The teachers I work with have become my mentors and inspiration to follow in their footsteps as it is something I love and a population working with. I also coach soccer at the high school I work at and that has also been a huge factor and influence in me getting my credential. I want to inspire students in and out of the classroom and I hope to build connections with my students, athletes, and the community..

Scene 7 (4m 47s)

[Audio] Ways that I will continue to improve and grow to ensure I implement my action plan and goals to meet my philosophies will be through continued learning, there is always something more to learn or improve on. I will use my mentors and their knowledge to continue to learn and grow. And eventually I would like to be involved in research projects to help improve my own education and teaching but the field as a whole as well. I also want to ensure I am joining professional organizations and attending professional conferences as well..
