Pygmalion by George B. Shaw. The novel by George Shaw is centered around Eliza Doolittle and Professor Henry Higgins's relationship. Higgins bets with Pickering about Eliza's transformation as an individual of a lower class fornicating with a higher one. In it, Shaw reflects a society that is divided by wealth, education, and language. These quotes from the novel provide the reader with a preconception about society and the importance of one's social mannerisms' when socializing..
