Changing from the original terms of Latin-a and Latin-o because it gives gender identity which they want to change Other ways they have tried to change the wording is by ending the term Latino with -@, -e and -x. Kevin Dominguez writes on Quora (" the term “Latinx” was born in the United States as some sort of moral superiority of some") white (Liberal scholars").
