In the oil and gas industry in recent years, it's been one of the most successful approaches to safety.

[Audio] Seafarers shall be granted shore leave to benefit their health and well-being and consistent with the operational requirements of their positions under the discretion of the Vessel Master. The Master shall check with the local agent on the local requirements for shore leave. When in a foreign port, shore leave crew must have their passport and immigration papers when leaving the vessel. Shore leave records (ISPS-009 - Crew Shore Leave Log) are kept at the Gangway post and recorded by every crew member when leaving and returning to the vessel. Only 25% of the total crew (from both Deck and Engine departments) can be on shore leave at any given time. Crew members must notify the respective officers before going on shore leave, with Deck crew informing the Chief Officer and Engine crew informing the Second Engineer. It is strictly prohibited for crew members to stay overnight on shore, and if the vessel's port call is less than 4 hours, shore leave is not allowed. Upon returning to the vessel, crew members must ensure that they are not under the influence of alcohol. The Vessel Master has the authority to conduct random alcohol tests if deemed necessary..

Master shall check with the local agent on the local requirements for shore leave.  On foreign port, ensure shore leave crew have their passport and immigration papers when leaving the vessel.  Shore leave records (ISPS-009 - Crew Shore Leave Log) are kept at Gangway post and recorded by EVERY crew when leaving and returning to the vessel. Crew going shore leave shall inform to the respective officers: 	Deck - Chief Officer  	Engine - Second Engineer  At any one time, not more than 25% of total crew (Deck & Engine) shall be allowed for shore leave. Gangway area or commonplace shall clearly be displayed the Vessel's Estimate departure (ETD). Shore leave crew to return to vessel before 2-3hrs of the vessel ETD.  Crew shall ensure he returns to vessel and report to duty on time, any omission from reporting must be reported to Master or Chief Engineer respectfully. Shore leave crew shall make themselves reachable at all times so that the vessel can contact them during emergencies/urgent situations.  Crew members shall use appropriate transport services to and fro from vessels and shore, Safety shall be paramount.  NO OVERNIGHT STAY ALLOWED AT SHORE.  IF THE VESSEL PORT CALL IS LESS THAN 4HRS, NO SHORE LEAVE IS ALLOWED.  CREW SHALL NOT INTOXICATED WHEN RETURNING TO VESSEL; Master has the authority to carry out random alcohol test if deemed necessary.  
 ASL expects all crew to adhere to the above set guidance.  Adherence to these procedures helps maintain the delicate balance between the crew's well-being and the vessel's seamless operation. Any violation and/or misuse of the shore leave benefit by any of the crew is subject to the company’s disciplinary action.

If you feel that you are being harassed you should immediately report to the Senior Officer. Any complaint by the seafarer on board must be given full attention by their direct Supervisor or the Master, and it should be handled fairly, effectively and quickly until it is resolved. All seafarers have the right to file their complaints directly to the Master and the appropriate external authorities, if they consider it necessary.

[Audio] The disregard for any rules or regulations can result in severe consequences. Ignoring MARPOL or other international regulations puts our vessel and crew at risk. Breaking company policies, such as those related to drugs and alcohol, can lead to serious issues. Illegal activities like drug trafficking and assault are unacceptable and will not be tolerated. We expect all crew members to follow the company's rules and regulations and adhere to the code of conduct. Disobedience or disrespect towards the master or head of department will not be accepted. Pilferage or theft of ship stores or cargo is strictly prohibited. Gross negligence and failure to observe proper storage and cargo handling procedures can cause delays or damage to the vessel or cargo. Being left behind in a foreign port without justification is also unacceptable. Inflicting harm or injury to others, abusing authority, and conniving with or cuddling stowaways are all serious offenses that will not be tolerated..
