It borders Tibet in the north and northeast Bhutan in the east Nepal in the west and West Bengal in the south. Sikkim is also located close to India's Siliguri corridor near Bangladesh..

[Audio] Buddha Temple Ganesh Tok view point The Buddha Park of Ravangla also known as Tathagata Tsal is situated near Ravangla in South Sikkim district of the Indian state of Sikkim. It was constructed between 2006 and 2013 and features a 130-foot-high (40 m) statue of the Buddha erected to mark the 2550th anniversary of the birth of Gautama Buddha as its main attraction. The statue built of 60 tones of copper is an example of repousse work. Ganesh Tok is a temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha at an uphill distance of 7 kilometers from Gangtok. The temple was built in between 1952 and 1953 by Shri Appa B Pant the former Political Officer of Sikkim. Here apart from engaging in worship one can have what is perhaps the best views of the city of Gangtok..

[Audio] Kanchenjunga Falls Ganesh Tok view point Buddha Temple Kangchenjunga the third-highest mountain globally located in the Himalayas on the border between Nepal and the Indian state of Sikkim. Until 1852 it was believed to be the highest peak but measurements by the Great Trigonometrical Survey of India revealed Mount Everest's greater height. Kangchenjunga is revered as a sacred mountain in Nepal and Sikkim with its first ascent made in 1955 by Joe Brown and George Band who stopped just short of the summit to honor a promise. The Indian side of the mountain is prohibited to climbers and in 2016 the adjacent Khangchendzonga National Park gained unesco World Heritage status.
