Preamble Uasin Gishu County has the largest and most diverse economy in Kenya, characterized by a strong private sector, proximity to markets and an advanced human capital base. It has a population that is strongly enterprising, highly techno-savvy, nationally connected, with more than 70 percent being below the age of 30..
Residents of Uasin Gishu continue to suffer due to poor prioritization of development projects and imprudent use of National and County Resources. Poverty is a major challenge and a lot needs to be done to create opportunities for employment and wealth creation. Driven by the desire to transform our lives, I will provide a platform for every resident to contribute towards a full realization of the great Uasin Gishu potential, I do offer my candidature for the servant position of the Member of the National Assembly of our beloved Uasin Gishu County..

We all strive for a Uasin Gishu under my leadership where each one of us have access to quality education, decent jobs and democratic space for expression and participation. Youth, Women and PWDs Empowerment and Poverty Mitigation Develop sustainable, economically viable opportunities to enhance income and livelihoods for the youth, women and PWDs of Uasin Gishu County. Expand abd diversify women income generating opportunities..
Facilitate youth, women and PWDs acces to business start up and expand their financial strength. Promote supply chain between large and small enterprises for technical support and market access for youth, women and PWDs led enterprises. Introduce targeted and integrated business development services for the growth and advancement of youth, women and PWDs owned businesses..
Facilitating youth, women and PWDs to access quality entrepreneurial training focusing on value addition, innovation, technology, business linkages and financial services. Establish business transformation centers to provide comprehensive support to youth, women and PWDs. Develop integrated ICT system to facilitate access to market information(e-commerce). Facilitate innovation and technology transfer to increase value addition and financial services linkages..
Create and enhance existing BodaBoda and Mama Mbogas SACCOS for their development in business. Provide shades and metallic stalls to Mama mbogas and jua kali artisans. Establish atleast one incubation centre in each of the 6 Sub-Counties of Uasin Gishu to support youth, women and PWDs in generation of business ideas and opportunities..
Provide structured support to the creative sectors, which have high potential for youth employment including film, music and fashion and bring them into the county mainstream economy. Scale up the “Studio eng Gaa ” and “Talent Pia ni Kazi ” where young people can affordably record and expose their creative talents to the market as they harness their talent to create new jobs..
Establish Avocado and Mango Nurseries (2 per Sub-County) where the youth and women will manage targeting production of 10 million seedlings per year. 3. Establishment of Liaison Offices in Each of the 30 Wards of Uasin Gishu County. Each of these liaison offices will: Act as a Talent Academy in Respective wards to identify and nature talents. Pay attention to sports and talent development and promote all positive aspects of our culture and heritage..
Create periodic calendars of ward tournaments to showcase available talents culminating at the county level. Coordinate Business Community and Profession bodies in respective Wards for identification and creation of opportunities for the youth and women. Conduct counseling services to address emerging issues amongst the youth and provide psychosocial and economic support to victims of Gender-Based Violence and other community malpractices..
Initiate capacity building programs in all spheres of development. Act as an assessment centre for respective Wards in every financial year to guide on allocation, distribution and management of Affirmative Action fund, Women Enterprise Fund and Youth Fund..
4. Building of Safe Social Welfare and Social Protection Provide utilities at household level such as water, electricity, access to roads to mitigate women toil and facilitate their access to better services. Promote linkages with private sector in developing affirmative action in favor of women employment and skills development.
Give priority in bursary allocation to orphans, children entirely supported by the senior citizens and PWDs.
