[Audio] SUMMARY The poem," The black Man's Son which was written by Oswald Durand. It is that a man in his twenty who fell in love with a white woman which reminded him of his mom. As he compared them to each other in personal apperance, like there shining eyes of blues, and their blonde hair and skin colour. which also he described himself which made me wonder that he was a mixed child, to the point where he said "too dark for her'' and ''My father was more black than I.'' also because he stated that his father black and his mom was white.

[Audio] THEMES OR LESSONS TO BE LEARNED The theme or lesson in this poem seems to be about Forbidden love because of the days racism, there where lots of lines in the poem which made me think that like the ''white folks' daughter'', they used the words folk's a lot in the olden days, also because they keep referring to the man as black and the women as white also and i quote'' too dark for her'' he made it sound like he is too dark to be with her which shouldn't be a problem unless it was in the olden/ racism days. In other words it was like he was Forbidden to love her

I did not really liked this poem because I couldn't really decide on what this poem was about because I was getting different poem understanding from this. But one thing i know for sure is that it was about racism even if i couldn't decide on which one it is.
