Scenario: Player or Supporter collapses. D R. A B C Danger Response Airway Breathing Circulation Quickly assess Is there any danger to you or others? Does the person respond to your voice? Are they awake and talking? Are the unresponsive? NO RESPONSE CALL AN AMBULANCE & GET AED Put person on their back and tilt the head right back-never put your fingers in their mouth. Do have a good look in the mouth. Put you ear to the person’s mouth and listen and feel for breathing. Is the chest rising. Look for signs of life. Is there movement? What colour is the skin?.

IF NO RESPONSE…. Diall 999/112 and put phone on speaker where you can hear it as controller will speak you through what to do. Remember Broadford Rovers FC Eircode: D16 AT10 At the same time…. GET THE AED/DEFRIBILATOR.

NOW MAKE A PLAN…. It is important to stay calm Get an adult (coach or parent) to look after the children and remove them from the scene. Make sure you have keys for clubhouse at every session/match Make sure ambulance called quickly (the person making that call needs to stay close to the patient). The ambulance service will support until help arrives. Make sure you are aware of where the AED is in the clubhouse & external venues..
