Forecasting Capabilities. Grid Capacity Projections: Users can upload current and future grid capacity projections onto the UGPF system to determine anticipated shortfalls and plan for infrastructure upgrades. EV/DER Demand and Capacity Analysis: Users can view and analyze the average power and energy from EVs and controllable DERs provided by a specific car company in their territory. They can select criteria such as territory, year, duration, and specific sub-areas to gain insights into EV/DER demand and capacity. Assumption Tweaking: Users can refine forecasts by adjusting assumptions made in the projections, such as changing the start year, duration, or specific sub-areas. This helps in identifying areas that require infrastructure upgrades urgently. Resource Matching and Dispatch: Users can match grid needs with available customer resources that can be dispatched to support the grid. They can automate the calling and response to customer resources for load management and optimize the calling of DER resources to ensure maximum benefit to the grid. Performance Monitoring and Reporting: The UGPF application provides historical performance data relative to calls for dispatch in aggregate, across feeders and networks, and by customer account. It offers dashboard tools to summarize demand response performance for system operators and regulators. It also verifies DER asset performance with utility meter data and automates the billing/settlement process for participating resources..
