The Gauteng Nerve Centre purpose is to centralize regional operations, where disciplines collectively interact with the objective of rendering effective Gauteng Metrorail services, namely: Safe effectively movement of trains, Normal and special service definition and coordination, Enable maintenance and recovery through planned and emergency occupations, Monitor all infrastructure aspects, Support of Business Continuity Management (BCM), Contingency Plan for Metrorail. GNC is a 24/7 operations centre that houses: Train Operations Station Operations Network Operations Protection Services Operations, and Support Services to ensure that Gauteng Train Service meets the user and stakeholder needs..
