Location- It is Located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, Auli is a hill station standing at around 2,800 m, and surrounded by acres of oak and coniferous forests. It offers panoramic views of some of India’s highest peaks, including the second-highest, Nanda Devi (7,816m).

Tourist attractions- A cable car ride from Nar Parvat or Nanda Devi mountains is  a breath taking attraction. It is also the gateway to the Nanda Devi and the Valley of Flowers National Park, including the Hemkund Sahib gurdwara, and popular trekking destinations such as Gorson Bugyal, Pangerchulla Summit, and Tapovan.

Food- The local delicacies include Kachmauli (stuffed goat with oil and spice), Bal Mithai ( a popular local sweet), Singhori (a cone shaped sweet wrapped in Malu Leaf). The cuisine consists of a large number of dals, green leafy vegetables and rice.

Moving around: Exploring Auli is best done on foot. Buses and State Transport buses operate between Joshimath and Rishikesh, Haridwar, Dehradun and Delhi. From Joshimath onwards, buses and taxi services are available for Auli. The most popular way to move about in Auli is by the cable car service which runs for 3 km.

Then to, The Mountains of Srinagar. Location-Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, lies along the banks of the Jhelum River at an elevation of 5,200 feet (1,600 meters) in the Vale of Kashmir..

Tourist attractions-Srinagar is well known for its many mosques and temples including the Hazratbal Mosque that contains a hair that reportedly belonged to the Prophet Muhammad, and the Jāmiʿ Masjid (Congregational Mosque), that is said to be the largest mosque in Kashmir. Dal Lake, with its “floating gardens,” is a well-known attraction, as are the nearby Shalimar and Nishat gardens.

Food-Dum Aloo(Favorite amongst vegetarians. Cooked under pressure and dry fruits are added to enhance the flavor.),Rogan Josh(A red lamb based curry ideally eaten with rice. It is made using yoghurt, Kashmiri chilly, ginger and bay leaves),Wazwan(It is a traditional 36 course dinner and its preparation is considered an art. All the dishes are meat based and slightly sticky) are some of the foods.

Crafts-The traditional handicrafts for which Srinagar is famous far and wide include Pashmina Shawls, Stoles, Scarves, Pullovers, Other Woollen Garments, Kashmiri Carpets, Namdas, Chain Stitch Embroidery, Wood Carvings, Walnut Wood Crafts, Bamboo Works, Furniture, Papier Mache Artifacts, Wall Hangings, Willow Baskets, Kashmiri Dolls etc.

Location- Cavelossim lies in the serenity of goa between the beautiful sal river and arabian sea. The beautiful beach is surrounded with a variety of flora including rich palm trees, casuarinas vegetation, and paddy fields.

Tourist Attractions-This serene beach in goa attracts tourists with activities such as sun bathing, sun basking, dolphin trips, sunset cruise, and shopping. One can select from a wide range of indian crafts and gift items and carry them as souvenirs to their native land from the colorful bazaars that surround this beautiful beach. There are a lot of luxury hotels and beach resorts on Cavelossim beach and the tourists can easily get accommodation in these hotels to spend some memorable time with their family or friends.

Food-Bebinca-a multilayered cake that is prepared using coconut milk, sugar, eggs and flour. The batter is poured into the pan and backed layer bay layer before lining it. The dish uses caramelized sugar, giving the dessert a rich flavor, Fish Recheado- ‘Recheado' means 'stuffed' in Portuguese. A Portuguese influenced dish, this dish consists of pomfret stuffed with tangy masala and onions.

Crafts and shopping-From souvenirs to clothes and books to groceries, it is the activity arena for shopaholics. Location- The beach is located 8.6 KMs from the jetty and is considered the water sports haven of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It is located at a secluded part of northern Swaraj Dweep, which has to be reached either via a boat or trekking through the forest. The area itself is quite mesmerizing.

Tourist Attractions-Elephant Beach Trek(The trek for Elephant Beach starts near the Radhanagar Beach and ends near the Elephant Beach), Sea Walk(Sea Walk is done at the 10 meter deep waters near the shoreline of the Elephant Beach at specific spots, which offers a wonderful view of the underwater world.),Snorkeling,Speed Boats, Banana Boats, Glass Bottom Boat Ride, Jet Skiing And Parasailing are some activities at the beach

Food-Tandoori fish, Curried Prawns, Grilled Lobsters(Butter, parsley, chili flakes, cloves are the main ingredients of Grilled Lobster),etc. are some popular local dishes of the Andaman.

Tourist Attractions-The jeep safari into the dense forest to see the wild animals in their natural habitat is a must-have experience. And if you are lucky, then you may get a chance to even spot a tiger. While on the jeep safari, enjoy the lush green forest's views cut across by streams and rivers and a few waterfalls. Sonanadi Wildlife Sanctuary is a part of the Corbett Tiger Reserve and is home to various types of animals. Those seeking an adrenaline rush can embark on a river rafting adventure on River Kosi that flanks the Corbett National Park.

Food: Phaanu( A complex of different varieties of lentils. It is consumed primarily with rice. The Main Ingredient are Lentils (Arhar, Gahat), Oil, Spices, Turmeric, Water), Jhangora Ki Kheer(the regional yet unique sweet’s aroma is awesome. The Major Ingredients are Milk, Millets and Sugar) and Arsa (a sweet dish of Uttarakhand cuisine which is delicious and low on calories which makes it popular amongst the diet-conscious generation as well.)

It’s so fascinating. Being in the midst of nature is so much fun.

Sundarbans National Park, West Bengal. Location-Sundarbans National Park is the largest mangrove forest in the world and is spread over more than ten thousand kilometers. These mangrove forests are located between India and Bangladesh in the delta of Bay of Bengal. One can access every corner of the forest because of the interconnected waterways network..

Weather-September to March are the best months to visit Sundarbans, the winters being the most pleasant period in the area. Summers could be quite hot and send the temperature shooting up, but are an ideal time to visit the wildlife sanctuary. The monsoons with full generosity in showers may make travelling a little difficult.

Plants-Sundarban has achieved its name from the Sundari tree. Mangrove Species in Sundarban are Hargoja(Acanthus ilicifolius),Khalsi	(Aegiceras corniculatum),Tora(Aegialitis  rotundifolia) and Peara Baine (Avicennia marina)

Animals-The Sundarbans forest is home to more than 400 tigers. The royal Bengal tigers have developed a unique characteristic of swimming in the saline waters, and are famous for their man-eating tendencies. Apart from the Bengal tiger, leopard cats, wild boar, Indian grey mongoose, fox, jungle cat, flying fox, chital, are also found in abundance in the Sundarbans. The endangered species that lives within the Sundarbans are royal Bengal tiger, saltwater crocodile, river terrapin, olive ridley turtle, Ganges river dolphin, hawksbill turtle and mangrove horseshoe crab.

I read in my wildlife book that this species is called Heritiera fomes. Let us go see some museums next.

History and background- The Sulabh International Museum of Toilets in Delhi is run by the Sulabh International, dedicated to the global history of sanitation and toilets. According to Time magazine, the museum is one of the weirdest museums among the "10 museums around the world that are anything but mundane". It was established in 1992 by Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak, a social activist and founder of Sulabh Sanitation and Social Reform Movement.

Collection-Established in 1992, the museum has exhibits from 50 countries. "The museum's exhibits bring out the development of toilet-related technology of the entire gamut of human history. Over time, they highlight social habits, etiquette specific to the existing sanitary situation, and the legal framework thereof. The items on display include privies, chamber pots, decorated Victorian toilet seats, toilet furniture, bidets and water closets in vogue since from 1145 AD to the present. Display boards have poetry related to toilet and its use.

Some of the interesting and amusing objects and information charts on display are: a commode in the form of treasure chest of the British medieval period; the supposed toilet of King Louis XIV which is reported to have been used by the king to defecate while holding court; a toilet camouflaged in the form of a bookcase; information on the technology transfer from Russia to NASA to convert urine into potable water, a deal of $19 million; display boards with comics, jokes and cartoons related to humor on toilets; toilet pots made of gold and silver used by the Roman emperors and the sewerage system that existed during the Harappan Civilization.

Shankar's International Dolls Museum, New Delhi. Location-The museum is located in the Children's Book Trust building on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, New Delhi near Ram Charan Agrawal Chowk. It occupies a floor area of 5,184.5 square feet (481.66 m2) on the first floor. The two sections have over 160 glass cases, 1,000 ft long (300 m), mounted on the walls..

Location-The museum is located in the Children's Book Trust building on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, New Delhi near Ram Charan Agrawal Chowk. It occupies a floor area of 5,184.5 square feet (481.66 m2) on the first floor. The two sections have over 160 glass cases, 1,000 ft long (300 m), mounted on the walls.

Collection-The collections of dolls are classified into two parts. One part consists of the dolls collected from western countries such as UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand, India. Commonwealth of Independent States and the other section consists of dolls collected from other Asian and African countries including

The main collections of Dolls Museum are of 150 types of Indian costume dolls created at the own workshop of the museum which is located inside the museum. There are dolls showing various Indian dances and cultures, regional costumes, pairs of bride and grooms of various states, a group of dolls showing how to wear a saree.

Other dolls of special interest are Boys and Girls Festival dolls from Japan, replica Dolls of the Queen's collection (UK), Maypole Dance from Hungary and Flamenco dancers from Spain. The museum runs a "clinic" for "sick" dolls, where rare deteriorating dolls are restored.

Timing and ticket price- The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. The ticket counter closes at 5.30 p.m.. The tickets are very nominally priced at INR 30 for adults and INR 13 for children.

Inside its boundaries there are several palaces known for their intricate carvings and expansive courtyards, as well as a museum housing various relics. A winding road leads to and from the city below..

Location-Mehrangarh Fort covers an area of 1,200 acres (486 hectares) in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India. The complex is located on a hilltop around 122 meters above the surrounding plain. Inside its boundaries there are several palaces known for their intricate carvings and expansive courtyards, as well as a museum housing various relics. A winding road leads to and from the city below.

History-  the fortress was originally started in 1459 by Rao Jodha, founder of Jodhpur, most of the fort which stands today dates from the period of Maharaja Jaswant Singh (1638–78). The fort is located at the centre of the city spreading over 5 kilometers (3.1 mi) on top of a high hill.

Within the fort are several brilliantly crafted and decorated palaces. These include, Moti Mahal (Pearl Palace), Phool Mahal (Flower Palace), Sheesha Mahal (Mirror Palace), Sileh Khana and Daulat Khana. The museum houses a collection of palanquins, howdahs, royal cradles, miniatures, musical instruments, costumes, and furniture. The ramparts of the fort house preserved old cannon (including the famous Kilkila), and provided a breath-taking view of the city.

Timing and ticket price-Timings are9:00 am to 5:00 pm; every day, Entry Fee is Free and Museum Entry Fee	is ₹ 100 for Indians; ₹ 50 for senior citizens, students, paramilitary personnel,₹ 600 for foreigners (the charges include audio equipment),₹ 400 for foreign students
