[Audio] PREFACE Why didn't anyone tell me? Few people are aware of this, but our brains have the innate power to control pain signals. Until recently, I was suffering from chronic pain and was on so many pain meds that I couldn't leave the house most days. One night, as I was struggling to sleep, I discovered the ability to stop the pain by using my mind. I don't want your money The purpose of this booklet is to teach this method to others who are suffering from chronic pain like I was. I didn't pay anything for this understanding, and I don't intend to earn anything for sharing it. I only want others to experience the freedom that I have, and I hope they will also share it with others as I have. Disclaimer I want to make it clear from the beginning that I am not a medical professional; I am a patient. Please do not follow any of this advice without consulting your doctor first. Later in this booklet, I will share what I have learned from professionals in the field of pain management theory. However, your doctor must be aware of any changes you plan to make to your pain management regimen. None of the information contained in this booklet is copyrighted. Please share this with anyone who might be interested in learning about this method..
[Audio] Who Will Benefit From This? An overview of Selective Receptor Control Based on my research, I am the first person to discover how to do this. I am giving it the name Selective Receptor Control (SRC). SRC may not be suitable for everyone. If you are experiencing pain due to a structural issue in your body, that pain serves as a warning to prevent further damage. If you fall into this category, this could likely make things worse for you in the long run. I am not an expert, so again, run this past your doctor before proceeding. But if you are experiencing pain due to false signals, such as neuropathic pain or other types of pain that aren't related to a structural issue, then you could very well benefit from this method. It has worked for others whom I have taught it to, so I know I'm not the only one who has successfully implemented it. Either way, be sure to discuss this with your doctor before attempting it yourself. What is Gate Control Theory, and what does it have to do with SRC? Overview Gate Control Theory explains how pain signals are processed in the nervous system. It proposes that the spinal cord contains a "gate" mechanism that can either allow or block these signals from reaching the brain. Applications This theory has influenced various therapeutic approaches, including: Mindfulness-Based Pain Management: Techniques that focus on mental states to help manage pain. Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS): A method that uses electrical currents to stimulate large nerve fibers, effectively closing the gate to pain signals. Gate Control Theory remains a significant concept in pain research, helping to explain the complex relationship between the physical and psychological aspects of pain perception. Mechanism of Action.
[Audio] How It Works Open Gate: When the gate is open, pain signals can pass through to the brain, resulting in the perception of pain. Closed Gate: When the gate is closed, pain signals are blocked, reducing the sensation of pain. Role of Nerve Fibers Large Fibers: These fibers transmit non-painful stimuli (like touch) quickly and can inhibit pain signals. Small Fibers: These fibers carry pain signals more slowly. When they are more active than large fibers, pain is perceived more intensely. Historical Context Gate control theory was proposed in 1965 by Ronald Melzack and Patrick Wall. It combined earlier theories about pain perception and provided a more comprehensive understanding of how psychological factors can influence pain. Importance & relevance The pain medications I was taking controlled my pain by altering chemical signals in my body. Unfortunately, they affected every system, not just the specific pain "gates" that needed regulation. This caused numerous adverse side effects, including chronic fatigue, memory loss, nightmares, a rapid heartbeat, excessive sweating, dizziness, and reduced libido. At age 56, these side effects stopped me from working even part-time, drastically limited my social life, made it impossible to travel with my family, and eventually left me mostly bedridden and confined at home. As a result, I was approved for disability and am now considered permanently disabled by the Social Security Administration. After years of treatments from several specialists and receiving a spinal cord stimulator implant (a subdermal TENS unit with a wireless controller and a rechargeable battery that targets the spinal cord directly), I had nearly given up hope of ever living a normal life again. If this sounds familiar to you or reminds you of someone you know, please don't give up—there is hope!.
[Audio] My Discovery How I discovered Selective Receptor Control. One night in late August of 2025, after a month of mostly sleepless nights—imagine ice picks being jammed through the bottoms of either foot four or five times a minute—I decided to approach my pain problem creatively. For 35 years, I worked as a field technician in the office equipment industry, developing strong troubleshooting skills. I'd fixed countless machines that others couldn't and seen ingenious solutions to problems that had stumped me. I thought, "How would I solve this if it were a malfunctioning machine, not my body?" The answer was actually pretty easy: deactivate the faulty sensors causing the problem. The equipment I maintained had a "service mode." In service mode, I could turn off individual sensors for testing or to get a machine running while waiting for a replacement part. I would consult the manual for the correct code, make the change, and test the results. This was a fairly routine way of troubleshooting bad sensors. The problem: there's no service manual for the human nervous system. I knew the brain categorizes every nerve receptor, but I didn't know how to tell it which ones to ignore. But with the intense pain keeping me awake, I had plenty of time to experiment. So, I decided to try simply "talking" to my brain using my thoughts. Before long, another "ice pick" struck. I told my brain, "That's a false pain signal. No one is stabbing our feet. The only harm is our reaction. If we ignore these signals, we can sleep." Seconds later, it happened again. "Another fake signal. We're not in danger." I reasoned with my brain like one would with a child afraid of the dark. Within minutes, I noticed the pain's severity and frequency had dropped dramatically. I thought, "Is this actually working?" The pain was nearly gone, and what little remained was minor compared to before. Then skepticism set in. "This can't be more than a placebo effect." But the pain didn't return—just an occasional "thumb tack" sensation, which I could quickly dismiss. Now my spiritual side chimed in. "Thank God!" I was so grateful, as the pain lately had forced me to leave my bed to avoid waking my wife with my flinching. My pain reflex had often been so strong my knees would hit my chest. That night, I fell asleep beside her and slept soundly for the first time in months. When I woke up, I reflected on the previous night and promised myself to try that approach again if needed. However, as the day progressed, something else happened—the pain and its frequency remained unusually low. I went most of the day with barely any discomfort, something I hadn't experienced in years. That night, the pain remained minimal. After a few minutes of "talking to my.
[Audio] brain," I fell asleep immediately. In the days that followed, my pain levels stayed low and manageable. I began reducing my dependence on the unpleasant meds I'd relied on for years, and I even shut off my spinal stimulator implant. Each day, the pain remained under control, my mind felt clearer, and my energy returned. I no longer needed to sleep 12-20 hours a day. Now, I'm weaning off my last medication, and I'm experiencing less pain than I did at maximum dosages. I don't even need my nightly Ibuprofen, something I couldn't sleep without for the past six years (and had taken nightly for a year before seeking medical help). I'm not sure how much of my former life I'll regain, but this experience feels nothing short of miraculous. God willing, I hope to dedicate the rest of my life to sharing this with others suffering from chronic pain as I did. I've tried reaching out through the medical system and social media to connect with both doctors and patients, but so far, there's been little to no interest. I pray that the readers of this booklet will be wiser than that, and at least give this a try. Aside from the pain, you literally have nothing to lose!.
[Audio] Experiencing True Freedom This message is for everyone. You may be asking yourself what could be better than what I have previously described. Good question! The method I discovered was literally life-changing, I admit, but in the end, it only fixes a temporary problem. We were all born with an eternal problem that we have no hope of fixing ourselves. I am writing this to both let you know about the problem that all of us have, and the reason there is hope for everyone who still draws breath. The conscience All of us were born with a conscience. We all innately know right from wrong. Even toddlers know when they're getting into something they're not supposed to be in. Just ask a mom what she does when her child is playing in the next room, and suddenly things get quiet. Every mom knows that her little angel is doing something he knows he shouldn't be doing. That little toddler is suppressing his conscience and deliberately going into "stealth mode" so mom won't hear what he's doing. But mom knows better. God also knows better If a toddler can't fool mom, how much less can any human fool God? As adults, we still have that conscience we were born with. When we contemplate doing things that we know are wrong, our consciences warn us, but we often ignore them, just like we did when we were toddlers. The Ten Commandments The Ten Commandments are a perfect example of God's standard of perfection. Most of us can't even name all of the commandments, let alone keep them perfectly. And, by the way, moral perfection in thought, word, and deed is God's standard. Anything less is a failing grade. There is no 50/50 or sliding scale… God doesn't care if you're not as bad as Hitler was. I'll list a few of the 10 here… How many lies have you told in your life? Have you ever used God's name in a disrespectful way? Have you always honored your parents since childhood? How many things have you stolen in your life? Have you ever lusted after someone you're not married to? That's only five of the ten. If you've broken even one of those, even once, you will be found guilty in God's courtroom of violating His laws. (Spoiler alert) We're all guilty in His eyes. as it is written, "There is none righteous, not even one; There is none who understands, There is none who seeks for God; All have turned aside, together they have become worthless; There is none who does good, There is not even one." -Romans 3:10-12 all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, -Romans 3:23 That doesn't sound like good news to me. apart from God's divine intervention, this would indeed be terrible news. But this isn't the end of the message… God is just, but He is also merciful If your conscience is bothering you right now, that's a good thing. If you are concerned that you'll have to answer for your behavior on judgment day, then you're pointed in the right direction. If it doesn't bother you, then ask yourself why. Do you think your Creator is morally inferior to His creation? Do you think it doesn't bother Him when people deliberately and consistently break His laws? I guarantee you that He is far more just and thorough than the best judges in our court.
[Audio] system are. Do not be deceived, God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. -Galatians 6:7 God is also far more merciful than any of the judges in our justice system. God is even more merciful than the kindest, most caring mother ever was. This is why He didn't leave mankind in the mess that we created for ourselves. The cross For the wages of sin is death, but the gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. -Romans 6:23 We all earn death by the lives we live. Jesus came to save sinners like you and me from the sentence that we worked so hard for. Jesus lived the perfect life that we should have, and then He took on the punishment that we deserve. Three days later, He rose from the grave and proved who He was by defeating death itself! Over 500 eyewitnesses saw Jesus after the resurrection. Many of these people were still alive when the New Testament was written and being distributed. Surely our griefs He Himself bore, And our sorrows He carried; Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, Smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our peace fell upon Him, And by His wounds we are healed. All of us like sheep have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way; But THE LORD has caused the iniquity of us all To fall on Him. -Isaiah 53:4-6 The book of Isaiah was written approximately 750 years before Jesus died on the cross. God revealed to His prophet exactly how the Messiah would die and for what purpose. He died as a substitute for guilty sinners so that the guilty could be declared righteous (justified). It is exactly the same as someone paying an enormous fine for a guilty criminal who had no way of paying it himself. If the judge lets the guilty criminal go free without payment, he would be a criminal too. But when the fine is paid, justice is done, and the guilty criminal can go free. This separates Christianity from all other religions. You can't earn your way to Heaven. You will only go there if you have been forgiven (Your fine has been paid). We earned for ourselves an eternity in Hell. God freely offers us the gift of eternal life in Heaven. And you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the ruler of the power of the air, the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience, among whom we all also formerly conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. But God, being rich in mercy because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not of works, so that no one may boast. -Ephesians 2:1-9 This makes sense... So what do.
[Audio] The Bible makes it clear that we must repent of (Turn away from) our sins, and believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our salvation (Not our own goodness). If you surrender to God on His terms, He will never cast you away. He will never leave you or forsake you. He will preserve you until the end of your days on Earth, and then bring you immediately into His presence in Heaven when you die. If you believe this message, take the time right now to pray to God for forgiveness. Turn from your selfish and rebellious ways, and start living your life for Him. He is worthy! If you don't have a Bible, please get one. Many are available for free online. My favorite Bible app is the Blue Letter Bible. You can also buy a paper Bible online or in a local bookstore for less than $10.00. It is imperative that you find a good (Bible-believing) local church, be baptized, and become a member. Finding a solid church is not as easy as you might think. Very few are still faithful these days. I will leave links below that should be helpful to you..
[Audio] Conclusion A quick review. 1. In many cases, your brain has the ability to control chronic pain far more effectively than drugs can. 2. Freedom from the side effects of pain medication can be life-changing! 3. God is generous and merciful to all who come to Him on His terms. 4. Freedom from the consequences of sin can never be taken away. This is true freedom!.
[Audio] Closing remarks I sincerely hope that you have found this booklet beneficial. As I stated earlier, I'm not making any money by putting this out. I am doing this out of gratitude to God for His generosity toward me, and also out of love for my fellow man. Please pass this information along to anyone you think might benefit from it. Also, I would love to hear your feedback. Knowing that my work is helping others would be a great encouragement to me! Again, please be sure to get your doctor's approval before trying out my pain relief method..
