Scene 1 (0s)

[Audio] Thank you moderator, for having me today. The approach that I apply to school discipline management is The Whole School Approach to Discipline. Here, the implementation of a comprehensive disciplinary system occurs at three different levels: the student level, the classroom level, and the school level. At the student level, the approach focuses on teaching students about appropriate behavior and providing them with the necessary skills to manage their emotions and resolve conflicts. This can be done through social-emotional learning programs, counseling services, and peer mediation programs. The goal is to empower students to take responsibility for their actions and make positive choices. At the classroom level, the approach emphasizes creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. Teachers are encouraged to establish clear expectations and rules and to consistently enforce them. They can also implement strategies such as restorative justice practices, where students are encouraged to reflect on their behavior and make amends. The aim is to foster a sense of belonging and mutual respect among students and minimize disruptive behavior. At the school level, the Whole School Approach to Discipline involves creating a supportive and collaborative culture. This includes providing professional development opportunities for teachers to enhance their classroom management skills, establishing a system for collecting and analyzing discipline data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and involving parents and the wider community in the disciplinary process. The objective is to create a safe and nurturing environment where all stakeholders work together to promote positive behavior. ..

Other than that, there is a truancy issue where students skipping classes or being consistently absent from school can hinder their academic progress and contribute to a lack of engagement and motivation. In this circumstance, it is required to establish clear rules and consequences. Clearly defining behavioral expectations and consequences for misconduct can help deter students from engaging in negative behaviors. Consistently enforcing these rules can promote accountability and discipline..
