What is Vapor Density?. Vapor density is the density of a vapor in relation to that of hydrogen. It may be defined as mass of a certain volume of a substance divided by mass of same volume of hydrogen.

It’s Impact on Climate. Water vapor is Earth’s most abundant greenhouse gas. It’s responsible for about half of Earth’s greenhouse effect — the process that occurs when gases in Earth’s atmosphere trap the Sun’s heat 2. Increased water vapor in the atmosphere amplifies the warming caused by other greenhouse gases.
