Scene 1 (0s)

TOPIC: BIOORGANIC CHEMISTRY ON HYDROGEN. Submitted to: Chynara Aidyralieva Lecture of Chemistry.

Scene 2 (12s)

ELECTRONIC CONFIGURATION OF HYDROGEN. . • Electron Configuration: — Hydrogen can only fill the first Principal Energy Level labeled 1 . o— Hydrogen can only fill the first orbital labeled s . • Orbital Diagram — Hydrogen has an atomic number of 1, so it has 1 electron available to place in the orbital diagram. H: ISI Configuration Is Orbital diagram.

Scene 3 (29s)

IMPORTANT COMPOUNDS OF HYDROGEN. Water(H 2 O): It is the most abundant compound on earth. It keeps our body cool and regulates the body temperature. Ammonia(NH 3 ): Hydrogen constitutes 17.65% of mass of ammonia and used in agriculture as fertilizer. Methane(CH 4 ):It is used as fuel to make heat and light. Hydrogen peroxide(H 2 O 2 ): It is also used as antiseptic to prevent infection of minor cut, burns, etc. Hydrochloric Acid ( HCl ): It is used as purification of table salt and pH control, cleaning agent, pickling of steel, etc..

Scene 4 (56s)

CHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF HYDROGEN. • Reaction with Halogens H2(g) + X2(g) 2HX(g) F, Cl, Br, l] • Reaction with dinitrogen 31--12 (g) + N 2 (g) 2NH3(g); • Reaction with dioxygen catalyst or heating 2H2(g) + 02 (g) 2H20(l); -1 AHO =-92.6KJmol -1 AHO = -285.9KJmol • Reaction with metal H2(g) +2M(g) + 2MH(s); where M is alkali metal • Reaction with organic compound H2 + RCH2CH2CHO + RCH2CH2CH20H.

Scene 5 (1m 12s)

BIOLOGICAL ROLE OF HYDROGEN. Anaerobically, hydrogen oxidation is coupled to CO2, reduction by methanogens and acidogens and to sulphate reduction by sulfidogenic bacteria. Aerobically, the hydrogen bacteria used hydrogen gas used for both energy conservation and autotrophic CO2 fixation. Phototrophic bacteria can either produce or consume molecular hydrogen..

Scene 6 (1m 29s)

HYDROGEN USED IN MEDICINE. Hydrogen is an important physiological regulatory factor with antioxidant, and anti- inflamatory and anti-apoptotic protective effects on cell and organ. Hydrogen gas has been identified as a signalling gas molecule like nitric oxide and carbomonoxide . Therapeutic hydrogen has been applied by different delivery method including straightforward inhalation, drinking hydrogen dissolve in water and injection with hydrogen saturated saline..
