S hams  Power,  is  Pakistan’s  Largest  PPA  developer,  invests   and  set up  a  solar  project  at its customer’s  location and help   them save on grid electricity costs from  day  1  by selling   clean and green  solar  energy  at  discounted   rates. Our  business model  is  to  Invest  in solar  power  plants   at Commercial and Industrial  sites all  over  Pakistan,  and run   them for  15-25 years  -  selling electricity  to  the site at  a   discount  to  the   grid.

Giving  our  customers free electricity  for the   remaining  life of the   equipment.

A  power  purchase agreement   (PPA) , or electricity sale  agreement,  is  a  contract   between  two  private  parties ,  one  which   produces  electricity  (the  seller)  and one   which  is  looking  to  purchase  it  (the   buyer).

The  PPA  based business model  is also   known  as BOOT  (  Build,  Own,  Operate,   Transfer)  Model,  where  Seller  invests  and   installs the solar  power  system on   customer’s property at no cost  to  the   customer. PPA  developer  is  responsible  for  the  operations and maintenance (including   repairs  and cleaning)  for the entire  duration   of the   agreement.

INSTALLATION  OF  SOLAR   (TENURE)? PPAs  typically range  from  12  to  25  years  and  the  tenure  of the  PPA   varies  depending  on  the  preferences  of the   client. Shams  Power  offers  lower  tariffs   for  longer  PPA  tenure  and  higher  tariffs  for  short term  PPA  tenure   so  if  a  client  desires  a  shorter  PPA   tenure,  the  tariff  will  be  higher and   vice   versa.

No  capital   costs Reduced energy costs  with Zero   Risk Shams  Power will  handle   the  upfront  costs  and  risks  of  installing  solar  power   system  without  any  investment  from client  &  the   customer  will  be  able  to   reduce  their Grid Electricity  Bills  through discounted   solar. “This  model  removes  any  CAPEX responsibility,   Operations  &  Maintenance  expense , and  Equipment  Performance	Risk .  Moreover,  the  equipment  is  transferred  to  the client at the  end  of the  PPA,  giving  them   free electricity for the  remaining  life of the   equipment. Shams  Power will  be  responsible  for  system  performance   and operating   risk

e.g.,  We  offer  “PKR  10/kWh  (excluding   taxes   and duties)  with  a  3-5%   annual   escalation”

Shams  power  purchase   inverters? Huawei  and   SMA Standard  warranties for  Inverters and   Panels? For  inverters 5  years  – extendable up to 15   years For Panels  - 25-year  performance   warranty Shams  Power  is  currently  purchasing   panels? We  purchase  and  use  only  Tier-1  panels  mainly  Canadian,  Trina   and  Jinko Solar   panels

NOTE Tariff  cannot be  defined  before  visiting the site  area.  It  totally  depends  on  the  location  and  after   making the site assessment  proposal  by our technical   team.

Minimum  size  of  solar installation starts   from? The  site should  cover up the area of  300KW   minimum

What type of Panel Mounting  Structure is   used? It depends on the  site,  we  predominantly  use  Aluminum Structure,  Hot Dip  Galvanized   Steel   Structure What  Type  of panels do  we   use? Monocrystalline  Half-Cut   Cells What  is  the estimated  area required  for the  installation  of solar   system? 100KW  =  8,000- 10,000  sq.   ft

How  much time will  Shams take to install the   power  plant? We  take 4-5  months  from the date of signing  of   agreement  and receiving the required  documents  from   the   clients. -- What  will  be the exact output of   Solar? It  varies  from  city to city  and depends on solar   irradiance   and shadow  analysis  of area where solar  is   installed.
