[Audio] The main object of this toolbox talk is to ensure that every employee who works for Schindler recognizes workplace fall hazards and takes the appropriate measures to address those hazards so that we can all go back to our family safely..
[Audio] Many fatalities and serious injuries that happen within Schindler are caused by falling from heights and It is easy to forget where the car-top, working platform or scaffolding edge is when you are concentrating on your work and sometimes distraction from callback etc can also be a major contribution. Remember It is nearly impossible to stop or catch yourself if you fall..
[Audio] The big question here is Can you catch yourself when you fall? Absolutely NO Most people do not have the strength to stop a fall greater than 1 meter and its takes half a second to react to fall. In that time you will fall 2 meters Always have it at the back of your mind that when you use fall protection properly its prevent serious injury or death..
[Audio] 1.When working at height of more than 2 meter with an opening of more than 0.3 meter. 2. Accessing pit or pulley room with ladder from more than 3 meter. 3.
