The issue of humans are technological addicts due to the Industrial Revolution 4.0 already has been described as a serious one where most of the humans nowadays actually can’t live without a single type of technology because we’re now living our life to the fullest with technology development. Technology plays an important role in our life to reduce our burden when we living our life in line with the Industrial Revolution 4.0 A  technological addict  is defined as someone who has an uncontrollable urge or desire to use technologies such as computers, smartphones,  Thesis statement :  Some Malaysian are using technology while part of them do not know that they become one of the technological addicts Purpose of this mini research :  carry out the factors of technological addiction and the best solution to overcome this virus in our society .

According to  Saidon , N. H., Ahmad  Zaini , M. I.,  Asyraf   Sukry , M. A., &  Mohd   Ishar , M. I. (2020) . The highest percentage is 65% where the respondents agree that the major cause of technological addicts is online social media.  20% of respondents said that the reason for the technological addicts is caused by the industrial revolution in technology.  There are 7.5% of respondents said the online game and using the technology as a medium to study are the factors of people become a technological addict Hence , IR 4.0 is one of the factors of the Technological Addicts, but not the main contributor to this situation.

In Malaysia, the term ‘technological addict’ is quite familiar as our people are also using and utilizing technology. With the rapid growth of information technology in Malaysia, the statistics show the evidence from the significant increase in internet usage with a rate of 80.1 percent for individuals aged 15 and above in 2017  (N. H., Ahmad  Zaini , M. I.,  Asyraf   Sukry , M. A., &  Mohd   Ishar , M. I. (2020) In this era, where Industrial Revolution 4.0 is flourishing, many alternatives are being developed to replace humans’ activities. Although technological development helps human in terms of easing the burdens of humans, some argue that they can cause a change in human  behaviour  too (Witt et al., 2011).

TECHNOLOGICAL ADDICTS IN MALAYSIAN CONTEXT

Eventhough  the issues of the technological addicts among human involving over the world , but it was consider as natural issues due to part of revolution of the world.   The readiness of Malaysia in accepting this Industrial Revolution 4.0 is resulting the most for the Generation Z (Gen Z) those who were born between the mid -1990s until mid- 2000s.The Gen Z are closely related to the  emrging  Industrial  Reevolution  4.0 (IR 4.0) era  ( AJMAIN, T. A. L. H. A. H. (2020) compared to adult. Hence, this  exposure to IR 4.0 make s ome  Malaysian are using technology while part of them do not know that they already addicted and not be able to live normally  whithout  those gadget and Internet.  So I strongly agreed that this issue is due to IR 4.0 and its affecting the most for the teenagers and already change their behavior that may gives bad effects rather than positive sides.

The effect of technology addiction are :  Procrastination due to excessive use of technology Lack of communication skills.  Cause Several health problems Have to spend more money Among the four effects, The highest percentage (32.5%) is procrastination due to excessive use of technology.

According to  Saidon , N. H., Ahmad  Zaini , M. I.,  Asyraf   Sukry , M. A., &  Mohd   Ishar , M. I. (2020) . Do limitation on yourself when using technology.  Put themselves far away from technology. Offline your mobile phone. Switch on the silent mode on yourself when using smartphones

Scene 8

Technology can give a bad influence if we use it excessively. If the technology were used wisely then  technological addict issues will overcome. People need to know how to balance their life between reality and cyberspace so that they can living their life to the fullest due to Industrial Revolution 4.0 The Role of parents, society, and follow-up techniques could solve this problem slowly but surely.
